"How was your past like? If you don't mind." She asked him curiously.
She was sitting on the chair, watching him. He was making some black tea."Aw, you're interested?" He smirked as he poured the hot water.
"Seriously, Adam?"
"Kidding. I'll tell you, but you shouldn't tell anyone. Got it?"
"Yeah.""I was raised by my father alone. Norman escaped to somewhere. My father used to tell me that I must never approach humans. He used to call me an idiot, a complete dunce. If the VHs' find me, he'll probably end up dying too. He said if that ever happens, I must do him a favor. I must die by myself. My mother..He said that one day he couldn't find any good blood, and had no choice but to slurp her blood. She soon died of blood loss. I did as I was told. I never went down to the city. The mountain where our tent was pitched was my world. I had more time than I knew what to do with. I would sit and read books."
"You could read?"
"Actually, no. I would stare at the pictures."
"You just ruined it."
"I know. I know."
"Anyways, go on."
"I noticed my father hasn't come back for days. So, I broke his rule and went down to the city. I found humans very interesting to manipulate. One night, after I tricked some people into food, I met my father. I was about 13 that time, while I met him on a bridge. He clutched the steel bar, and stared at the sea below. I was terrified, I was weak. I couldn't do anything. He noticed me standing there, and..smiled. He then commit suicide. It was just so horrifying, watching him commit suicide in front of my eyes, without any single last word. Then after 3 years, I met Norman. I screamed at him. I screamed at him for running away. I screamed at him asking where was he after all these years. He seemed to not have any concern for our parents' deaths. He calmly spoke that the reason he ran off was because he met someone interesting."
"Did he mention who was that someone?"
"He only described her in three words. All he said was 'A beautiful tragedy'. I then never met him again, and I thought he died or something. But, he's still alive." He finished speaking, with a shaky voice.
Meika. Was all she could think of.
"I'm sorry I asked." She whispered.
"Its alright." He maintained his composure and smiled.
"Tell me about yours. If you don't mind." He said."I can't remember that much. I remembered that my parents thought I was cursed. They were terrified, and decided to throw me off the cliff. Before I was thrown, she appeared.." She trailed off.
"Who was she?"
"Meika. My sister."
"Go on."
"I remembered that before I was born, my parents thought Meika was as well a curse. They buried her alive, but she didn't die. I don't know how she survived. Anyways, she killed my parents, and bloodshed was everywhere. She saved me.
I can't seem to remember what else happened. But I do know she erased my memories, so that I won't go insane.""We went through a lot, huh? But I'm glad she saved you. I'm glad you're still here.""He gazed at her deep into her glossy orbs.
"Are you trying to flirt?"
"Maybe."
"Rejected."
"Ouch." He clutched his shirt dramatically.
"Just drink the tea before it gets cold." She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, yes."
