Love Scales (Eren x Levi)

Chapter 2

Levi's POV

The sound of an approaching vehicle woke me from my nap.

'Tsk. Another human 'caretaker.' When are they going to learn.'

Humans took away my two best friends who were like family to me. I still don't know what happened to them, but it was a long time ago and I've learned to live with it.

'Might as well see what this human looks like.'

I went to where the human was going to be staying. As I approached, the new human came out. I hid in the trees to look at the human from afar.

This human was male with toned muscles but was lean as well. He had sun-kissed skin and messy chestnut hair that looks soft. I couldn't see his face.

The human than walked into the forest. I decided to follow him to get a closer look.

When he stopped, I quickly darted up from behind him and coiled around him to keep him from struggling.

I then took a closer look at the human's face. His face was child-like with his wide eyes. Seemed to suit him. I inhaled his scent, he smelled like the sun.

"Beautiful." I snapped my head up upon hearing that. My eyes growing wide and felt my face heating up a little.

I looked into his eyes and was mesmerized by it. They were blueish-green with flecks of gold twinkling inside those eyes. No other color can come close to it. So crystalline and clear. Those eyes were so hypnotic, drowning me in them.

As I become even more lost into them, the human spoke.

"Um... Can you unwrap yourself from me? I'm starting to lose feeling in my arms and legs."

I blinked and looked down to where I had I trapped him. I felt my face heating even more as I released him.

I was now in front of him when he spoke, "Hi. My name is Eren Jäger. I'm your new caretaker." Felt my heart sped up as he smiled.

'Eren... That's a nice name.' Continued to stare at Eren for a few minutes.

"Levi," I answered.

His smile got bigger as he said "Hello Levi."

Felt a shiver down my spine when he said my name. 'What the fuck is wrong with me.' I thought. Feeling a little uncomfortable as he continued to stare at me.

"I understand if you hate me." Making me blink as I heard bright eyes speak.

"It's because us humans that your kind is nearly gone." Looking sad as he said that. My chest tightened at the sight. I didn't want to see him sad. I wanted to see him smile.

Before I knew it, I had grabbed Eren's hand and whispered, "It's okay."

He looked at me with surprised and confusion. Before I thought about it further, he was smiling again. Tightening his grip gently as I blushed.

"It's getting late." Looking up at the sky as he said that. "I better be head back now." As he was letting go of my hand.

I gripped his hand tighter, not wanting to let go and end this moment. Eren looked down at our linked hands and looked up to my eyes.

"You can come on back with me and we can talk more," smiling genuinely.

Nodding my head, we head back to where Eren isstaying, hands still linked together.
