A loud clang resounded through the hall as sword and ax met in the middle of two perfect swings. The force of Evangeline's swing, though, made Minerva stumble back a bit. She regained balance quickly, striking again and again, her smaller weapon giving her a small advantage. For every swing and block that Evangeline did, Minerva was there with two of her own.

For minutes this went on. Swing after swing. Slash after slash. Neither of them settled for a pattern for if they did then the other would surely see it.

Then, Minerva did something that Evangeline did not see coming. She feinted left and bent her hand back, making the ax slide down the length of the sword. The sword caught on the handle and Minerva jerked her hands and body back, making the ax fly backwards away from the pair. Before Evangeline could recover, Minerva stuck her sword through her stomach. Shocked, Evangeline let out a strangled gasp.

Minerva smiled a sadistic smile and ripped the sword back out before bringing it down again, this tie towards Evangeline's swinging arm. The polished and sharpened steel sliced clean through the flesh and the bone of Evangeline's right arm, right below her shoulder.

Evangeline let out a small scream as she reached her hand up to clutch the remains of her bloody arm. Her powers pulsed as they focused on stopping the bleeding in her arm and stomach.

Minerva kicked Evangeline, sending her sliding against the floor. Slowly, she stalked towards Evangeline, sword dragging across the floor as she laughed sadistically.

"This will teach you to not take what is rightfully yours!" (*cough*hypocrite*cough*) Evangeline scrambled back as The White Queen lifted her sword above her head. Red wisps were battling white ones as Evangeline tried to use her powers, but to no avail.

Evangeline looked up for a second before her eyes flickered to something behind the White Queen's shoulder. Even though she was facing almost certain death, she still smiled. Minerva paused and started to turn around.

As she was doing this she heard four chilling words.

"Off with your head!" She barely got a glimpse at the person behind her before she felt a searing pain in her neck. Her head clattered to the floor, the bloody ax falling from Evangeline's savior's hands. The man rushed forward and lifted Evangeline, ignoring the blood that was still steadily coming out of both wounds, and cradled her to his body.

"Hold on, love." Evangeline heard Hatter say before she slipped into darkness.

A/N - Here you all go. As promised, an update as soon as I could!

And also, if you couldn't tell (in all seriousness) the winner is Hatter.
