To all you who are incorrectly informed about anxiety this is to help you understand the struggle of people with this disorder. Whether you like it or not everybody has anxiety, it is a natural thing, everybody worries. People with Anxiety Disorder has it affect their daily life and everyday activities. If you are not one who is affected with anxiety there are things you need to know and should try to understand. One is that we know you do not always understand but we appreciate you for trying. The biggest thing to understand is that we don't always know why we are freaking out. We know there is not always a reason to flip shit. We cannot help it, to us it's a natural function. We cannot just shut it off. Do not try to make us talk about it. We probably do not get it anymore than you do. Do not try and force us to talk about what we are feeling during a panic attack because we cannot explain to you what we do not know. Never tell people anxiety is not a bad thing to have. Do not even dare try to tell them it is not hard. Try sitting in class overthinking every single thing you have said that day worrying if it was good enough to say out loud. When you do not talk you regret not saying things. A constant game of wishing and worrying. You wish you said something then you worry about the things you did say. Some have this constant worry that everyone in your life secretly hates them. That everyone they love is being pulled away. Out of fear of people leaving them, they push them away so they can avoid being hurt. If someone trusts you enough to talk about their struggle with this disorder do not belittle them and make them feel like they are overreacting. Do not make them feel like their feelings don't matter. Understand that sometimes anxiety gets the best of them and they cannot work up the strength to go out. You do not realize that people who have anxiety refrain from talking about their feelings because people call them "dramatic" or an "attention seeker." Living with anxiety is like living with a bear. You never know when it will attack.

Note: I say we because I struggle with some pretty nasty anxiety.

Inspiration: I felt the need to inform people on handling people who have anxiety because one time I was having a panic attack and this person shut me down and ignored it and the other one said why. So I felt it was necessary to write about it.
