This part picks up right from Teen Wolf season 3, the episode titled Insatiable. We all love psycho Stiles. So I wrote this ages ago, wanting everyone who love Stiles to relate. I only just got around to publishing it on here. It's basically ReaderxStiles. Y/N mean Your Name. And most of the events in here are products of my imagination. I don't own Teen Wolf or the characters. All credits go to the crew of Teen Wolf. So without further ado, enjoy.
There I was in my wolf form, growling with my claws ready to strike. All around me, everyone were headlong in the battle. Kira was duelling with her ancestral Katana blade, slashing the sword through the Onis and Allison was skillfully striking the enemies on the opposite side with her arrows. Isaac was attacking the Onis with his claws outstretched and Scott had his claws out and he let out a howled battle cry before crashing right into the dark soldiers.
I was facing Stiles, only it was not the Stiles that I knew. It was the bloody Nogitsune, masquerading as the son of Beacon Hill's sheriff. A grin that sent chills up my spine was plastered across his face.
"You can't do it. You can't kill me," he whispered in a taunting manner.
"You're not Stiles!" I growled, preparing to pounce on him.
"Y/N, go find Stiles! We don't have much time!" Scott's order was loud and clear. I obeyed my alpha's orders and nodded, just as Scott lunged at the Nogitsune. It was just the distraction that I needed. I dodged out of the way and ran for the tunnels under the old Oak Creek Internment Camp.
It proved to be a maze under there and I had to keep the thoughts of my claustrophobia at bay. I ran swiftly pass the corner, at the same time, I inhaled deeply and caught a whiff of Stiles' scent. The scent that made me feel like I'm right at home. The scent that I've secretly inhaled multiple times throughout the days, not plucking up the courage to tell him how I felt towards him.
"Stiles!" I called out urgently, running after the path his scent lead. I turned another corner and his scent was the strongest there. He was very close. The tunnels were dimly lit but that didn't prove to be a problem as my heightened vision helped. Slowly, I moved forward a few steps and I caught sight of him. An inhuman wail left my throat as I hurried towards him.
I turned into my human form, wanting to handle him gently. I dropped to my knees right beside him and cradled his head onto my lap. His body was immobile and the warmth of his being seemed to be seeping out of him. I could not catch the beat of his pulse.
That was when I panicked.
"Stiles!" I shook his shoulders, trying to get him conscious. Nothing happened. My panicked state just lost it and I slapped him right across his left cheek.
He startled awake, gasping and gulping for air. His wide eyes blinked a couple of times.
"Y/N," he let out a breathless whisper. I found myself getting lost in those brown orbs of his.
"Stiles, we have to get out of here." Rationale won and I made a move to gently dislodge his head from my lap, to help him up. He choked on a scream and I froze immediately.
"I can't, it hurts too much!" It was a twisted wonder how he managed to still speak.
"We have to try!" I tried lifting him again but he started shaking violently. I gasped and wrapped my arms around his shoulder, trying to do god knows what at that moment.
"Fuck! It burns!" he screamed. The agony etched on his face would forever be burnt into my mind. His entire body was convulsing as he started coughing out blood.
"I won't make it, Y/N. Just go. Leave me. Save yourself." His voice sounded, amidst all the chaos and he closed his eyes.
"No!" Tears streamed endlessly down my cheeks at that point. His eyelids fluttered open.
"No,no,no,no! You can't die, I won't let you!" I choked on a sob. As a feeble attempt to save him, I grasped his hands to my chest tightly. He was dying. I did not hate anyone as much as I hated myself at that moment. I could not do anything to save him. I brought our entwined hands close to my heart and started bawling.
"Don't cry. You're always so strong," he uttered. That made me cry harder.
"Don't leave me, Stiles. I need you!" I sobbed, burying my face in his neck. His breathing slowed down and Stiles' body went limp. I held him closer to me.
"I love you," I choked out, too late. I closed my eyes, not willing to let go of him.
The sound of a sharp intake of breath, snapped my gaze upwards.
"Stiles?!" I gasped as he looked at my face and then switched his gaze to our entwined hands. I followed his line of sight to our hands and my eyes must have been close to bulging out of their sockets. It looked like I was absorbing his pain because some kind of black fluid was flowing from his veins into my hands and up my arms. It should not have been possible. Only an alpha could have done it.
My thoughts were halted as my body was assaulted by a searing pain. I let out a gut wrenching scream as my body heaved. So that was how Stiles felt when he was in pain.
"Y/N!" Stiles made to untangle our hands, I grasped his hands tighter, not caring that my knuckles were straining.
"No, I'm taking all of your pain, Stiles! You're not dying today." I squeezed our his hands as my vision blurred. My body was slowly growing numb.
"Y/N, no! Stay with me!" His voice was my beacon as I felt myself absorbing the final remnants of his pain, just as both of us heard a broken scream. It sounded like the Nogitsune version of Stiles.
"He's gone." Stiles let out in a hushed breath. In turn, I released a quiet sigh before my lungs felt full with liquid and I started coughing out blood. "We have to get out of here!" He tried to get upright with his arms around me, but his body was still weak. We ended up back on the floor.
"Why is this happening?" Stiles' voice sounded thick with anguish. I managed to crack a smile, a horrible one at that.
"You're not hurting anymore." I reached my fingers up shakily and stroked his crimson marred cheek.
"You saved me." the Sherrif's son sounded. My vision was beginning to blur as it got harder to breathe. I coughed out a horrendous amount of blood and closed my eyes.
"I'm not letting you go!" Stiles' scream made me slowly blink my eyes, through my distorted eyesight, I could see that he was crying. I reached my fingers up again and wiped a tear away.
It was taking too much to even breathe anymore. My body felt laden and breathing was becoming a chore.
"I love you, Stiles," I whispered, just as darkness swallowed me whole.
