Dear journal,
Pain is inevitable in this world. One lesson I learned, not through teaching but by personal experiences. When life or "not" life if going the way we want it to we forget to fear, though we never forget to feel. One very wise man once said "Empires are the stars, it burns brightly the gets bigger, but in the end it burns out and all we see is the light it left." This must be the metaphor for vampires, we have lived highly as nobles and kings for more than a millennium since my creator started the vampires with me as his first.
Since my creator was human and remained human and never turned himself into an immortal I was considered the first vampire. When I changed my first human to complete my immortality, once he changed his first human it didn't go exactly right. The human he changed wasn't a human but an angel, Shamsiel- angel whose name means "light of day".
Shamsiel was a lost angel her light had no power in the night and she fell to earth. Damion was the first vampire I changed and it was a foolish choice. He had been in love with a dying angel. Shamsiel was so far gone he was the only one who could touch her, her body was ascending to heaven when he bit her, she would have been reborn but still Damion feared for her.
The pure gold blood was drained from her body by Damion. It gave him great powers, yet an angel without its blood is a disaster. The angels sensed Shamsiel's suffering and gave her their power to save her, reversing the completed vampire. Shamsiel had half angel half vampire, and overall an insult to what I was.
I watched the family for years after Shamsiel's change. Damion died in the transformation leaving Shamsiel with a child. The child was exactly like the mother except she could never be an immortal. The next generation, led to another insult. The third generation away from Shamsiel was the first boy of the family named Aiden-the Forever. By age eighteen he stopped ageing. The Forever was going to be forever. Also Aiden had stopped the family line is his name.
I was weaker than Aiden because he was grace of my true blood, and armed with the grace of the angels. I had lost the battle to keep the full vampires alive the others that I had created ceased to be immortals continuing to age even I aged, but the immortality of angels cannot be killed out- Aiden never changed.
Soon I will die and the new vampires will rise- more powerful. If one becomes corrupted I fear there will be no way to stop their wrath. My breed was corrupted by blood lust the first instant. The rise will eventually lead to a fall, in which a new empire will build. Who knows the powers, the corruptions to come to co...
