After practice finished and school was over, Hinata walked to the house with Kageyama.

"Isn't it funny that Suga thinks we are sleeping together?" He asked, looking at some squirrels playing on a tree.
"Not really."
"Why not?" Hinata asked.

"Because even if we were, that would just be a train wreck." He said, not even thinking about it.
"What do you mean?" Hinata said.
"Because." Kageyama answered.
"Okay..." He nodded.
They walked the rest of the way back in silence. It was the weekend, and Kageyama explained that Hinata was staying the night.

They arrived at the house, and
Hinata perched on the bed.

"What are you doing, dumbass?" Kageyama asked.
"I wanna play a game." Hinata said.
"I don't even like games." Kageyama sighed.
"I know, that's why we're playing it."

Kageyama nodded.
"It's called 2 Truths, 1 Lie." He said, smiling.
"I already hate it." Kageyama said.
"Shut up. Let me turn some music on!" He grinned.

He turned on a song on his phone, which happened to be "Colors" by Halsey.
"What is this shit?" He looks at you.
"What do you mean?" He seems deeply offended.
"This music."
"It's awesome!! Shut up!" Hinata rolls his eyes.
"Whatever, let's just play."

"Okay. You make two truths and one lie and then the other person has to figure out what the lie is!" Hinata grins widely.
"Right..."
"Can I go first?" He asks.
"Mmhm."

"Okay..." The short boy thinks.
"Hurry up."
"One. I have a younger sister. Two. I'm a cat person. Three. My hair is natural."
"The lie is that you're a cat person...?" The setter asks.
"Mmhmm!" He smiled.
"This is too easy." Kageyama said, biting his lip.

"Okay. Your turn." Hinata responds.
"One. I'm bad at math. Two. I've never wanted to be in any other volleyball position. Three. I really, really like milk."
"The first one? As the lie." Hinata says hopefully.
"Mmhmm!" Kageyama hums.
The boy smiled.

"This isn't that bad." Kageyama said softly.
"So, um...do you have food?" Hinata asked.
He hadn't eaten in two days.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!"
"I tried, you told me to eat roadkill." He smiled nervously.

He rolled his eyes.
"Go on, there's food in the fridge."
Hinata tumbled down the stairs, flying two steps at a time. He skidded to the fridge.
"THERE IS THREE CARTONS OF MILK IN HERE, KAGEYAMA!"
He heard a loud groan from upstairs.
"Shut up, dumbass!" Kageyama yelled back.
He stared into the fridge, and pulled out some sliced turkey.
This will have to do.

He took the pack and walked back upstairs.
"Kageyaaaaaama...." He said.
"Wha-" He was cut off by Hinata throwing a piece of the turkey in his face.
"YOU HAVE TO GO COLD TURKEY ON BEING A HATER!" Hinata yelled, and collapsed into laughter. Kageyama realized what he had done and ran towards the boy, trying to catch him.
"Come here, dumbass!" He yelled, sliding around the corner.
"NOOOO!" Hinata's voice was muffled by the lunch meat in his mouth.
He caught him and pinned him to the ground, not really knowing what to do now.
He didn't think he'd actually catch up to him!

Hinata laughed for a minute. "Kageyaaaama, put me down!" He smiled.
Then he realized something.

His friend was pinning him down, and this could go two ways.

He blushed heavily.
"You better not slap me with lunch meat again." Kageyama muttered awkwardly.
"Y-Yeah.." Hinata said quietly.
Kageyama was still on top of Hinata, and he awkwardly slid off.

"S-Sorry...about slapping you with turkey." He smiled sheepishly.
"It's okay.."
"It's late." Hinata realized.
Kageyama only nodded. "Go to bed."
Hinata bit his lip.
"I don't like the dark.." He said quietly.
Kageyama looked at him.
"Turn on the lamp." He said.
"You don't like light..." Hinata said.
"I'll be fine." He responded quickly.
Hinata scurried off.

He stood there alone for a second.

His mind filled with thoughts of what had happened. Ugh, it was so awkward. He sighed.
Then, his thoughts began to go from the action to who was in the action, and it escalated to an alarming rate.

He realized he enjoyed those thoughts.

He rolled his eyes. He needed sleep, that was it. He wasn't thinking straight (literally).

"Kageyama?" Hinata appeared in the hallway in pajamas.
He glanced over.
"Hmm?"
"Can you turn the heat up? It's cold on the floor." He smiled slightly.
He rolled his eyes.
"Fine."

Hinata trotted off.
Kageyama went to go turn the heat up, and then he got an idea.
He'd let Hinata sleep in his bed!
Without himself, of course.

He sighed and turned into his bedroom, seeing Hinata sleeping on the floor. He was out cold.
He lifted the boy easily and set him into Kageyama's bed.
That was better.

He got into the floor, yawning slightly.
He was about to tumble off into sleep when-

"Why did you do that?" Hinata asks, opening one eye and raising his eyebrows.
"Because I'm a good person, and my bed is warm."
Hinata nods, and burrows down.
"Thank you."
Kageyama nods, and falls asleep.

In the morning, Kageyama is absent and Hinata wakes up alone. The bed on the floor is even neatly made.

The boy kicks his legs over the bed, sliding off of it.
Surely Kageyama couldn't just disappear.
He didn't really know what to do, since it wasn't his house. He couldn't snoop, because then his family could randomly come home.

Hinata then remembered what had happened.
He had enjoyed it.
Not in a weird BDSM-type kinky way, but in a I like the feeling of you close to me way.

It was an experience for both of them, to say the least.
