Eyes do sometimes see

Its a mangled mess!
there is no escape,
Or did they truly tell
Eyes do not always see.

Is that a light?
Or is it just disdain?
Look, the war is over
The damage done.

Its all a mangled mess!

Hearts do always lie.

That flicker in the midst
Is it just my hope,
Dying out in pain?
Everything has life!

Its all just a mangled mess!
The way I see, is not
the way you hear.
Is it all just vain?

All the dreams are gone,
Dark shadows still remain,
The pain can still be felt
It tells me I'm alive.

Its not just a mangled mess!
Its shattered hopes and dreams,
But I have cried my part
And now its time to rise.

Its going to be new,
But it is worth a try.
A lovely life ahead,
Is a powerful lie.

Its no more a mangled mess!
That now I leave behind
Its memories of my past,
And remains of lessons learned.

Well what they always tell
Cannot be entirely right.
As eyes do sometimes see
And hearts don't always lie.

Escape is not always right
Facing it sometimes work,
Some scars can be healed
With heads that are held high.
