Fandom School - Chapter 1

HyperFandom School of Arts had just announced that they were accepting new students. I screamed in happiness. I had always wanted to get into HF. In 2012 the school opened, and it had always sounded like a great place to go, but I wasn't a fan of anybody. But over the past year I had been obsessed with the youtuber DanTDM.

Anyways, after a few weeks of begging my parents they finally let me interview for it but they said not to get my hopes up.

I didn't know anybody at the new school but it shouldn't be to hard to make friends, right? Whatever, I needed to start preparing for the interview.

I set up my phone on my desk and sat in my chair tucking my dress underneath me. I positioned my body so it was slanted towards the camera and I turned my head and smiled. I fixed my hair and hit the record button.

"Hi, I'm Jillian Rogers and my fandom is DanTDM." I stopped. Did that even make sense? I deleted it and hit record again. I cleared my throat and adjusted myself again.

"Hi, my name is Jillian Rogers. I am a huge fan of DanTDM," I smiled. I started explaining when I first started watching Dan and mainly explained my fanpage on Instagram. I recorded for six minutes and then played Dan's outro while saying goodbye.

I watched over the video and edited out any stuttering, me carrying on, etc. I uploaded the video on HyperFandom's website and smiled. All set. The school expected a lot and I needed to make everything perfect. You had to send in a video of yourself, an edit, and a video edit. It would be worth it though. I sent in my video edit that I had spend the past two days making and my edit that I made about a week ago that I really liked.

I checked my Instagram scrolling through the notifications and got an email from HF.

We have added something to our enrollment. You must now include at least 10 facts informing us about your fanpage. Thanks!

That's a lot of work I moaned to myself. I pulled up Microsoftic Word on my computer and began typing out ten facts.

1. Dan has liked 10 times.
2. I have over 4K followers

And I continued the list until I got all ten.

Great. Interviews are tomorrow. I better get some sleep.

I plugged in my ear buds and went onto Dan's channel. I scrolled down for quite and while and hit a random video. Then I closed my eyes while listening to the sound of a beautiful man talk and laugh through my sleep.
