DEAN POV
Eventually, two boulder bodyguards broke up our fight. I had to give it to the Barbie doll; he had some skills. I was impressed. I expected the little dude to fall to the ground and weep as he touched his face, but he didn't. He only hit back and it was a good fight. I didn't even know the kid's name.
The boulders dragged Barbie and me apart and took our asses to the slammer in the hotel. I sat on the flat metal bed as I waited for Sammy to come pick me up. Barbie was put in the cell next to mine. His face was bruised and bloodied from my hits and I bet mine was the same. But I didn't feel anything. It wasn't my first tango.
I was growing impatient. Where the hell was Sam? I stood up and walked to the bars of the cell.
"Come on, Sam," I groaned to myself as the realization that Catherine could be anywhere appeared in my mind. I know for sure she would want to be alone and that's definitely not the best thing to do. Dammit, she could be in trouble and I'm stuck in this poor excuse for a fucking gorilla cage.
"Sam!" I yelled as I paced across the cell. The thoughts were filling my mind and suddenly I got worried and anxious. Catherine could be in trouble. I gripped the bars on the door and shook them. The noise echoed through the small ass room and it only made me angrier.
"Will you shut up?!" Barbie shouted next to me, but it didn't help. Pictures of Catherine hurt flashed before my eyes and I couldn't help but remember the video. What if he got to her again? What if I couldn't protect her?
"Dammit, Sammy!" I yelled again as I walked over to the wall and punched it. My knuckles stung as they collided with the brick, leaving a dent in the wall. I probably broke my knuckles for all I care. Where the fuck was Sam?
"Woah, woah, woah! Dean!" Sam's voice said with his normal concerned tone. I quickly turned around and I saw him standing next to one of the boulders. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and pajama pants. His hair was messy. Was he fucking sleeping? Really?
I strolled to the bars of the cell and gripped them tight. I didn't even care about my newly torn wounds on my knuckles. I needed to get out of here.
"Sam, get me out of here. Now!" I ordered. Sam stared at me with confusion on his face. The boulder next to him, however, took out the keys and opened the door. I stormed out with Sam following close behind. Before I walked out of the room, I quickly stopped and looked back at Barbie.
"Nice moves, Barbie," I winked at him and I pointed his way. He nodded and I quickly strolled out of the room.
"What the hell happened, Dean?" Sam asked as he caught up with me. I kept walking fast to the elevators. I prayed that Catherine was in one of the rooms.
"Did you see Catherine?" I completely ignored his stupid-ass question as we made our way through the hallways.
"No, I haven't... She was supposed to be with you-" he started. Then he stopped talking and he gripped my arm tight to stop me. I stopped as I groaned. I gave him a 'not now' look, but he only gave me his 'what the hell did you do?' look back.
"What the hell happened, Dean?" he repeated. I groaned. We're wasting time. "Dean..." he pressed further with anger laced in his voice.
"I might have done something...stupid," I told him. It was a stupid move.
"What. Did. You. Do?" he pushed as anger became obvious. I could've sworn I saw fire in his hazel eyes. I let out a sigh.
"I..." I started. God, he's going to be so mad at me, "I cheated on her."
"You WHAT?" he yelled at me. I nodded. It was a stupid move. And I regret it. He ran his hand through his hair as he tried to compose himself. I started to walk and I heard his footsteps behind me.
"Don't you walk away from me!" Sam yelled from behind me as he grabbed my arm again.
"We don't have time for this, Sam!" I yelled back at him. I had a feeling something bad happened to her. Confusion took over Sam's face and I had to quickly explain myself.
"She stormed off somewhere afterwards and I don't know Sammy... I have this feeling that something bad has happened to her. We need to find her," I explained as guilt banged on my chest. His face changed from confused to concerned. "Please, Sammy..."
He nodded his head as he took a breath. "Okay, well maybe she's in the room," he reasoned as he tried to think nothing bad happened. I nodded. Sam always was reasonable, unlike me. He asks questions and throws punches later. I, however, throw punches then ask questions later. Too much time is wasted asking questions. Let's hope he's right. Please to God, be in that room, Catherine.
I couldn't wait for the elevator so I took the stairs. Sam followed close behind as I took three steps at a time. When we finally made it to the floor, I opened the door to Catherine's and my room.
"Catherine?" I called out. No answer. "Baby?" I walked fully into the room. She wasn't on the bed, or in the bathroom. Please, be in Sammy's room. I walked back out into the hall and pushed the door open to Sam's room. I saw Sam standing with Jess as they talked.
"She's not in there," I breathed. I could tell by the looks on their faces that she wasn't in this room either. Dammit. Then an idea dawned on me.
"The bar!" I exclaimed as I turned around to go back down the stairs. I heard Jess and Sam behind me, but I didn't stop.
When I made it to the bar, I looked everywhere for her. But I didn't see her. Then the red "EXIT" sign caught my attention. I jogged to the door and opened it.
"Catherine!" I yelled outside, but my voice only echoed. It was humid and the puddles on the ground told me that it had rained. Jess and Sam joined me outside.
"Why don't you try to call her?" Jess asked me. Of course, I should've called her! I took my phone out of my pocket and dialed her number. The annoying-ass ringing in my ear started as I waited for her to pick up.
"Come on Catherine..."
"Wait, do you guys hear that?" Sam asked. We all stood there silent. Then I heard it: Catherine's ringtone. I sprinted towards the sound and then froze in my tracks.
On the ground was her knife she kept in her boot, her flannel, her smashed phone, and an empty syringe. No. Jess and Sam stood beside me and I heard Jess gasp. This is all my fault. I should've never cheated. I should've never yelled at her. I should've never said those things. I didn't mean any of it. I was just pissed off. Because of me, my girl is God-knows-where with her psycho ex boyfriend. What the hell did I do?
