Say after being a newbie at desert middle school and barely making friends, my transition from state to state was quiet smooth. At least now I wasn't much of a loner... well except for the bus rides. Monday through Friday it was my earphones and I for twenty-five minutes (times two), thankfully the end of the school year was closer.
"Don't forget about the Drama banquet lucy" screamed my best friend from across the hall while speed walking towards me.
"I would never, theatre is life, susy when have I ever missed a day?" No kidding, everything about acting was just magical. "True, true. Awesome, well my mom is here, see you tomorrow love" she skipped towards her mom's car, ah my best friend. And now... here comes another awkward ride home.***
As always I sat somewhere between the middle and the back, next to the window of course and my bag beside me, take the space of the seat as if it was a person, the bus driver was yet to take off.
A unknown voice spoke to me as I turned to face him. In the few months I had here, I don't recall seeing him before. "Is this seat taken?" Acknowledging the fact that I was purposely isolating myself. "Of course not" placing my bag on my lap. He sat next to me, which was the first time anyone did.
"My name is Jesus Rodriguez, and you are?" He seemed to realize I was new. "Lucilda, but you can call me Lucy, Lucy Clark" you can call me..? What am I famous? Omg embarrassing myself already. "You have a pretty name, is that the new ipod?!" Amused of my not cellphone he pointed out. "Yea, got it a couple weeks ago" I stated. "You got games?" He asked as if there was any other reason for this device. "Um yea" "There's like fifteen games I downloaded to not get bored" i added. "Can I play?" I allowed him to, and kind of examined his cute emo self.
My stop was getting close I said bye to Jesus hoping I would see him again.***
It was bored game night with my cousins at home, and now that I was more open with them I decided to tell them about my new friend ... acquaintance ... buddy? Ugh, about the guy I met, and honestly couldn't stop thinking about. "Lucy, lucy! It's your turn girl, what are you thinking about?" Katherine exclaimed while being so into the game. "Nothing... something... ugh, some guy, someone I might not see again so it doesn't matter" Katherine and Juliette seemed very intrigued, "why wouldn't you see him again, is he moving" Juliette asked me, but I stayed quiet so a moment. " that's the thing, I don't know, I know nothing about him except for his name, and the way he looks kind a" Katherine suggested I searched him up on Facebook, but I thought that would be creepy. Funny thing is when we got back to the game my Ipod received a Facebook notification, "Jesús Rodriguez has sent you a friend request" said out loud Juliette while snaching my Ipod right from my hand.
They saw my face expression glitter of happiness, that's when they realized it was him whom I spoke about.JESUS- Hey remember me ?
ME- How did you get my Facebook?
JESUS- I searched your name up.
ME- Oh...well, hi.
JESUS- Hi, I would like to get to know you more, well if that's okay with you? After that afternoon we texted endless nights, the school year have ended and summer was here, more then half of our break we spend it texting eachother, and for as long as that lasted my smile became much more often then before.
Until one day towards the end of summer we stopped messaging eachother, I don't know what happened or how. I let it go, and continued my break as I did before he first messaged me.
