Chapter 37 Part 2

*Laura's P.O.V.*

"Why have you been crying?"

"I-I havent been crying," i said and looked at the floor.

He put his hands on my cheeks and lifted my face to face him.

"Yes you have your eyes are all red and puffy and i can tell your lying," he said with a worried expression.

I sigh."Its a long story," i whisper.

"I have all the time in the world to listen to your long story. I'm your best friend Laura you can tell me anything,"he said. I'll have to tell him sooner or later.

"Ok," i say barely audible and grabbed his hand and we sat down on the couch.

"I was crying because L-Luke c-cheated on me," i said and a tear slipped.

"WHAT?!?! Luke... he wouldnt do that. No he wouldnt do that to you he loves you," he said.

"I f-found him kissing another girl on the couch and t-then he yelled at me. He thought i was cheating on him with Calum," i said.

"Were you?" he asked.

I shook my head. " Of course not. I love him, but my feelings are fading," i said and looked at my hands.

He stayed quiet.

"If he loved me he wouldnt have done that," i whispered.

"He does love you. I know it. It was a mistake. Can't you give him a second chance?" he says.

"I dont know Ashton. I really doubt that. I know it was a mistake. But i cant. I cant give him another chance. It's just.." I love Calum. I've always loved Calum. It was never the same with Luke. It didnt feel right.

"It's just what?" he asked.

"Calum..." i whispered.

"What about him? Theres something your not telling me about him," he said. I looked at him.

"He was my bestfriend since we started school. We were always together. He protected me from anyone who would try to hurt me. He was like a brother. We were close. Then in 8th grade we got together. As a couple. He was amazing. I loved him. Then i had to come here. It was hard to say goodbye. He said he would always love me. And the thing is i never stopped ether. He was always on my mind. I couldnt stop thinking about him. With Luke it didnt feel right. He didnt give me sparks or chills. He didnt make my stomach go crazy. There never was a connection. I loved Luke yes. But it what mistaken by another type of love. I loved him like a brother or bestfriend." i said with tears running down my cheeks.

Ashton held my while i cried.

"Thats why i cant give him another chance because i love Calum and i always will," i whispered.

"You need to talk to Luke about this. He loves you. Loves you so much. And the guilt is probably killing him," he said and rubbed my back.

"I cant though. Its just so hard. A part of me loves him and it still hurts that he did that to me. I have so many mixed emotions," i whispered.

"Just think about it? Yeah?" He whispered.

"I will," I whispered. I wiped my tears and sat up.

"Thanks Ashton," I say and weakly smile.

"I'm here for you Laura," he says and smiles his dimples showing. I giggled.

"What?" He chuckled.

"Your dimples are just so adorable," I said and poked his dimple.

"Ugh no! I hate them!" He says and covers his cheeks.

"Shutup they can hear you!" I scolded and laughed. I haven't smiled or laughed in a day. This is why Ashton is the bestest friend in the world!

"I don't care they deserve to know I hate them," he said and laughed. I laughed.

"Ok tht was weird. Let's stop talking about your dimples." I said.

"I agree," he said and smiled. Aww. Lol

"Let's go get icecream!" He said and jumped up and down.

"Geez your 19 yet you act like a 4 year old," I laughed.

"Yes yes I do now let's go get icecream.!" He said and pulled me off the couch dragging me out the door while I laughed. Gotta love him.

*At icecream shop*

"Oh my god this is so good," I moan. I love icecream.

"I know!" He said and licks his icecream.

*Ring* *Ring**Ring*

I pull out my phone from my pocket and it's Calum. I press the answer button and held it against my ear.

"Hello there!" I said. I was in a good mood. Thanks Ashton.

"Hey Laura. Can I come over? I'm bored," he whined and I giggled.

"Um I'm not home right now. But can you come over around 4?" I asked.

"Yeah sounds good! Bye. Love ya!" He said.

"Me too. Bye!" I said and hung up.

"Who was that?" Ashton asked.

"Calum," I said.

"Oh"

"He's coming over later. Wanna join?" I asked.

"Sure!" He said. I smiled and we finished our icecream and headed out.

"Ugh I don't want to walk. I'm full!" I whine.

"Full of what you just ate a small icecream," he replied.

"Well I'm still full," I pouted.

He rolled his eyes playfully and bent down.

"Yay! Piggieback ride!!" I said and got on his back.

He chuckled and we headed home.
