It didn't take long for Prussia to pack; he simply grabbed an old duffel bag and tossed in a few t-shirts, jeans, ties, and of course, his blue military uniform. He grabbed his military jacket from the bag and pulled it on, then grinned.
"All set!" He cheered to himself, gathering the bag and zipping it shut. As he walked towards the stairs, his eyes scanned his desk and caught sight of his diary. "Can't forget that..." he murmured and scooped it up, placing it in a side pocket of the bag. He then whistled for Gilbird, who immediately tweeted and flew after him, and headed upstairs.
"West!" He called up, closing and locking the basement door, "I'm ready!" Germany's head peered out of his room on the top floor. His hair was ruffled and he had half his military uniform on; the pants and boots but not his green jacket.
"I'll be down in a minute, the flight leaves in about an hour and the ride to the airport is about 10 minutes, we should get through security in time." He slicked his hair back as he spoke, rubbing in the gel he used. Prussia grinned and nodded, ruffling his snow-white hair for good measure. Germany rolled his eyes at his older brother's unruly mess but retreated back to his room and closed the door.
Prussia flopped on the couch and dropped his bag on the floor beside it to wait. He had to admit, the Italian and his brother could get annoying, but in all honesty he was glad he was going. He loved the brothers, even if Romano didn't exactly return the love like his younger brother Italy, he still enjoyed their company.
West took about another five minutes before stomping down the stairs with his own bag. He wore his green uniform, perfectly neat and ironed, followed by his slicked back hair and nearly knee-high boots, similar to Prussia's.
"Ready?" He asked, slinging the bag over his shoulder. Prussia grinned and pushed himself off the couch, grabbing his own bag and stretching.
"As ready as I'll ever be!" Prussia announced, walking towards his younger brother. Germany nodded and turned to follow the albino, grumbling a little as Gilbird accidentally flew into Germany's head on his way to land on Prussia's. They both exited the house, Germany locking up quickly. They turned and walked a little ways down the sidewalk to Germany's car, where Germany got in the driver's seat and Prussia in the passenger's.
"Where did the dogs go?" Prussia asked as Germany waiting for traffic to clear.
"I got Austria to get one of his servants to watch them while we're gone." Prussia blinked a few times at this and Germany pulled the car out into the road.
"And how'd you pull that trick, if I may ask?" Prussia mumbled, glancing out the window at the passing buildings.
Germany grinned at this, turning the car right to get on the interstate. "Simple really, I threatened to beat his face in." At this, Prussia laughed loudly and nodded with satisfaction.
"That's the kid I raised!" He cheered, causing the German to roll his eyes, but a small smile still found it's way on his lips.
In roughly 10 minutes the brothers made it to the airport. Germany circled the parking lots looking for somewhere to park, constantly having to change places when he was close to pulling in due to Prussia's constant whining about not wanting to walk far. After about five minutes of arguing Germany decided to park in the next empty place he found, despite what the Prussian wanted.
Eventually they found a spot and exited the car, locking it up. Germany then turned and walked quietly down the rows of cars towards the airport, checking his watch.
"We've got about 45 minutes until the plane takes off." He mumbled, returning his hands to his pockets as Prussia caught up.
"Is security really going to take that long?" Prussia asked, glancing up at the sky now dark with grey rain clouds.
"Probably about 30 minutes, it usually isn't too busy at this time," Germany glanced side-long at his brother and held the door open for him, "hopefully only 30 minutes if you don't cause issues." Prussia grinned innocently and slipped in the building, quickly followed by Germany.
They happily made it through security in the time allotted, Prussia managing to stay out of trouble except for one small argument with one of the security officers when they "accidently" touched a spot Prussia didn't exactly enjoy people touching when they patted him down for weapons.
They walked together towards their commercial jet and boarded along with all the other passengers just as it started to drizzle. The two sat side-by-side in one of three-seated rows and luckily no one sat in the extra seat. Within a few minutes everyone was boarded in the plane, and it began to take off.
Germany leaned his head back against the chair and closed his eyes as Prussia put in his headphones and turned up some Breaking Benjamin. He glanced out the window, watching as the plane hit the open air, and he smiled. It had been a while since he traveled, and he was enjoying it already. The thoughts of him leaving all of this behind when he vanished made his heart ache slightly, but he ignored it and mumbled the lyrics to the song he was listening to instead...
"...dear agony...just let go of me...suffer slowly..."
