Mum's crying on the hospital bed, and there is nobody! What should I do? "I'll go get the doctor! Wait here Mum! " I said. Just before I stepped out of the room, Mum whispered, "I love you, Karin..." and dropped. The doctor who came in soon after, told me she was no longer in this world. I was shocked, I couldn't even bring myself to cry.
And then I wake up, it's that dream, again... My mum died when I was young, I was about four...I guess. I lived alone since then.
I think I have gotten used to it. I had to move into a smaller apartment (with my younger sis, Mirei) since I live by myself and going to work after school everyday is a task! But I can somehow pull it off since the land lady of my apartment is really kind and knows everything about me and my sister, since she was a close friend of my Mum. She makes lunch for me and we often eat dinner together while she tells me stories of our past.
But handeling my expenses was getting a little too difficult for me, so I decided to go to Sakura High, it is definitely cheaper than the school I went to earlier. And it is closer to my workplace, the multi-purpose supemarket. It's just a few blocks away. So I don't see the down-side except for not being able to make friends...I am a total bummer when it comes to making friends, unlike Mirei. She is a happy-go-lucky person an has a personality which attracts people. I was bullied as a child and there was only one girl who always stood by me. She was the only friend I have ever had. Yes, my entire life, she was the only friend I had. We were close to each other and ate lunch and dinner together. We had sleepovers at my place. But we lost contact when I moved into the place I live in right now.
But that's all in the past. I don't even remember her name anymore. For now, I just want to graduate from school safe and sound, un-noticed by everyone. I absolutely don't intend to grab the slightest attention towards myself.
