"An empress really Mr Slade? I could of come up with something better than that." I scoffed at his words.
But how did those marks get onto your hands? my conscience asked. I hushed her.
Mr Slade completely ignored me and spoke to Dean, "Don't you remember the last Empress? The marks were exactly the same," he insisted.
Realisation dawned in Dean's eyes and he spoke, "Elizabeth was her name. She had complusion as an ability. She was very powerful and could heal extremely fast?" His last sentence came out as a question, as if he wasn't sure.
Mr Slade nodded his head, "She was killed by Zorgath, the leader of the Shadow Clan, about ten years ago."
Everyone was silent for awhile, processing this revelation.
It was broken by a small gasp from Mr Slade, "I just remembered, Elizabeth's last name was...Lilith."

My Mother was an Empress? And more importantly, my mother was dead?
Anger towards my mother filled my body; I was withering in it.
I jumped to my feet and screamed, "No! Don't lie to me! She is not dead, she's going to come back to me so we can be a family again! She is not a Hunter or an Empress!"
Deep down, under the hate I felt towards my mother for abandoning me, I still wanted her in my life. I still remeber all the kisses and hugs I received from her. I have always expected her to come back and we could somehow be a family again. But now she's dead, that dream was shattered.
"Tammy please, calm down," Dean placed a hand on my shoulder and I immediately felt his influence. I jerked away from his grip.
"Don't touch me."
"It's going to be okay Tammy. We will figure everything out, together. I promise." I looked behind him at my new friends. Mr Slade, Dru, the Twins and even Vanessa gave me a united look of support.
I gave a shuddering sigh and bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from crying. I could do this.
I nodded and spoke in the strongest voice I could muster, "Okay, tell me what you know."

We moved Anna to her bedroom, Vanessa volunteered to keep an eye on her if she woke up. How nice of Vanessa.
However, when I think about it, I had noticed a change in Vanessa. She no longer threw me hateful glares or stayed away from the group. I hope that this change is permanent; I really wanted to get along.
We left the two girls there and headed to the facility library where the walls were jammed packed full of books. There must of been thousands of books in total, I couldn't believe the sight.
Mr Slade spoke as he climbed up a library latter to pull down a huge book of the Hunter's history. "Dean and I first met your mother when we moved here after the attack on Dean's parents. Elizabeth was known as the Empress and she controlled total this section of the state. Every Hunter had to report to her if we moved facilities or if there was any problems. She had the exact same markings on her palm as you do."
"How come I can't remeber her running off to fight like you guys do? Or why my father still thinks she's alive," my heart tembled at those words; I bit my cheek harder.
"Her ability was complusion Tammy. We have to assume that she made you and your father think that way."
Poor Dad, he would of been heart broken if he found out his wife had died. I silently thanked my mother for using complusion on him before she died.
