Good morning, beautiful
-Sivan

another fall morning, connor opens his locker to find a note from sivan. he wonders who sivan is, thinking of who looks at him a lot. everyone does. especially girls. there was one girl, she seemed closed off. her name was tiana. everyone assumed she was a bitch, but bethany said she talked to her once, so she couldn't be that bad.

either way, whoever this girl is, she must really like him. but she knows she cannot possibly have him because of bethany. that made connor sigh. what if this girl was really great? he could be missing out. bethany was pretty and all, but she wasn't someone you talk to and tell things to.

"hi babe!" connor is once again ripped from his thoughts, and turns around to see bethany. her brown eyes look darker today, maybe due to her bright choice in outfit. she wore a pink skater skirt paired with a white crop top. she was extremely fit, and the outfit clung to her body well. her hair was done in a half up half down style, her brown hair with blonde highlights looking shiny and more voluminous as ever.

"h-hey bethany." connor stutters, as he tries to hide the note. too late. she's already seen it. she grabs the note, unfolding it, her brown eyes widening. "oh. this is rich. someone is sending you love letters?" how pathetic. they can't tell you in person how they feel?" she nags, and connor wants to roll his eyes at his girlfriend's rather rude attitude. "i think it's cute." connor beams. "well if you think it's so cute, then you can go be cute with this stupid girl who is sending you love letters!" bethany utters, as she throws the note to the ground. she was acting extremely childish today.

"beth. calm down." connor grabs her shoulders, steadying her. she pouts out her bottom lip, as if she was begging for a kiss. connor obliges, and pecks her lips quickly.
but once he had kissed her once, bethany pulled him by the hair back into her lips, as she tried to full on snog the boy. he tries to push her away lightly, nicely, but fails.

so, he begins to kiss back, doing what she wants so she would just stop shoving her tongue down his throat. sure, he liked her, but when she kissed him, it was almost as if she was trying to get everyone else's attention in the process. it's as if she is taunting this "sivan" person. he continues kissing back, until she was satisfied. "now for math." she announces, as she clutches her boyfriend's hand. connor grabs his books, and locks his locker quickly. "er... yeah!" he says in his most enthusiastic voice.

the two walk down the hallway to the math classroom, and sit in their assigned seats. connor next to troye, who had actually become one of the highlights of his day, sitting next to him, seeing him. today, they were doing trigonometry. troye is great at trig, so he was helping connor. "troye, can you tutor me?" connor asks, and troye just smiles, nodding his head.

so, that day, after school, the two drove to connor's house, well, apartment. "connor, where are your parents?" troye asks. "in minnesota." connor says nonchalantly, as he puts his bag down on the couch. "they live there." he says, as he takes off his shoes, and pulls his books out of his backpack. "w-why?" troye questions, raising an eyebrow. "because, they didn't like my life choices." the american boy sighs, and looks to the floor, trying to avoid the topic.

"life choices? you've lost me. what do you mean?" he asks. "well, back in minnesota, i used to have a boyfriend. my parents found out, so they shipped me out here to live with my grandma. she died though." connor mumbles, as tears form in his eyes. "o-oh connor. i'm so sorry." troye whispers. "well it's fine, i guess. she supported me, and she left a bunch of money to me. like, a lot of money. like, i'm rich." connor laughs, and troye sighs at how easily he spoke about this.

connor seemed perfect, he had the perfect girlfriend, lots of friends, and not to mention his looks. he looked perfect. who knew that someone so perfect could have lived such a fucked up life?

"does bethany know?" troye asks. connor shakes his head. "she thinks that my parents just go out of town a lot. i mean, it's half true. they're both lawyers. they're always out of town." he utters, then stands up. "do you want pizza?" he asks, as he suddenly snaps out of his sadness. "i-uh... yeah. that'd be great." troye smiles, and connor dials the number. "cheese?" connor asks. troye nods his head, and he opens up his own math book, moving to the fairly large kitchen to sit at the table.

after an hour of waiting, their pizza and bread sticks arrive, and they eat together, talking about their shared imterests. it turns out that connor loves music just as much as troye, but thinks that he has no musical talent. he likes to make mix tapes, and make playlists that worked well. he was quite brilliant. at the end of the night, connor gave troye a mix tape he had made, which was full of connor's favourite songs. and maybe, just maybe, troye was really starting to fall for this boy.
