Chapter One: The Hunt

Twenty years has passed by since my father Rex, Sapphire, Shadow, Misty, and my mother fought and killed Stryker and his army... My name is Zahara Fireblade; I was just a mere child when the fight happened... I was just a child whenever my father died and my uncle Shadow left... A lot has changed in the past twenty years, yet I will just let you find out on your own... Without further a due, this is the story about my friends and I... Shall we begin?

I wake up at dawn, I yawn and rub my eyes as I see that the time is only six thirty in the morning and I had only two more hours until I am needed in the Lab. I decide to go and take a shower and get ready for work. Once I finish up getting dressed, I walk out of my bedroom and I head towards the Lab. As I walk down the hallway a boy knocks into me and we both fall down, I get off the ground and I say. "Watch out where you're going Pyro before I knock some sense into you!" Pyro grins and says. "Whatever Zahara.... Just because your father was stronger than mine, does not mean that you will be stronger than me!" I smirk and say. "Keep telling yourself that you will be stronger than me HAHA!" I then start to walk down the hallway once again. I approach the door to the Lab and I walk inside, I walk over to where my mother and aunt Sapphire were at, Sapphire greets me and says. "Hello Zahara! Today is a little different...." I tilt my head in curiosity and I ask. "Oh really? How shall it be different today aunt?" Sapphire turns around, her back facing me, and she says. "Well as you know I am the chief of the police force in the town over... I need Pyro and your help; I need you two to find two people about your age... Their names are Wade and Krystal... As the records say... And we don't have much on their backstories, but they are not blood related; yet they consider each other brother and sister..." She hands me a file, I open the file and I see the records and pictures of the two, I then ask. "If I may ask what is it that they have done that has caught your eye?" Sapphire sighs and says. "We have seen cameras in different places watch the two use powers like how we do... I want to know where they came from, so there does not have to be any force involved. I just need you and Pyro to find them and bring them here so we can ask them questions... Ok?" I nod my head and I stand up and I give my mother and Sapphire a hug, I turn around and I walk out the door and I go to look for Pyro.

I find Pyro in the dining hall, I run over to him. I stand in front of him and he looks at me and asks. "What do you want shrimp?" I punch him in the shoulder and I say. "First off my name is not shrimp! Secondly... Sapphire gave me this file and she has asked us to go to the city and find these two people and bring them here." Pyro holds his gut and says softly. "F...Fine I'll go.... Just gi...give me an hour..." I nod my head and I say. "Ok! I'll be waiting at Sapphire's ship... She put in the file a note telling me that when we are ready to go to the city that she'll take us there." Pyro nods his head and I walk away and towards the hangar of the base. Once I make it to the hangar I walk inside the ship and I look for Sapphire, yet she is nowhere to be seen. I open the door to the cockpit and I look around inside it, I see nothing so I decide to go and sit outside by the entrance of the ship.

An hour passes by as I sit there staring into the air, just thinking about how we will find these two in that city. Pyro walks up to me and I look up at him, he looks at me and says. "Hey Zahara where have you been? I've been looking for you." I stand up frustrated and I say. "What?! I have been here for almost an hour and a half! Where have you been Pyro? You did remember that I told you to meet me here right?" Pyro scratches the back of the head and smiles as he says. "Oh yeah.... I thought you said at the entrance of the base. Oh well, here hold onto my shoulder, I will just teleport us there." I nod my head and I say. "Well I guess we can just go without Sapphire, I mean she wants us to go get them... so there's no point in waiting for her to take us there right?" Pyro smiles and nods, I then grip onto his shoulder tightly, he closes his eyes and we both vanish from thin air only leaving a small trail of smoke... After we vanish a lady emerges from the shadows and says to herself. "I have a feeling that'll I'll have to follow them..." The lady gets in Sapphire's ship and cuts the ship on and flies off towards the city.
