Chapter 2: Dead Silence
Marie's POV
When Brytta and Iris came home, Brytta looked like she was pissed off. Iris however was clinging to her and pleading for forgiveness. Me and Leah were playing 'What am I'. "Okay, what did she do now?" Leah said slamming her card on the table. "SHE MESSED UP MY MOMENT WITH THE LUSCIOUS HARRY STYLES!" Brytta screamed. "Was Louis there?" Leah asked turning a bit pink. "No..." Brytta replied suspiciously. "Uh, how about Liam?" I asked shyly. "No..." Brytta replied. Iris took her shoes off and jumped into Leah's arms. Leah picked up a buffalo wing from the bucket of chicken we had ordered before they had left to see Harry. Iris took the wing and began to chew on it while still on Leah's arms. They looked like a mother and child. It was a daily routine though. Brytta began crying and grabbed the chips from the top cupboard. "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR RUINING MY MOMENT!" Brytta stomped as she ripped the bag of chips and spilled it all over the floor crushing every single piece. "NOOOO!! MY BABIES!" Iris yelled as she rushed over to the pile of shattered chips. "Brytta..." I sighed. Brytta ran up the stairs in tears. "Your okay! It's okay, Iris is here! Your still edible!" Iris whispered to her self while picking up the shattered leftovers. "Iris, Brytta still had her shoes on..." Leah said. Iris froze. Then she turned her head at us. "That monster!" She said throwing the crumbs on the floor.
Leah's POV
Iris stomped up the stairs and flung the door open in Brytta's room. We followed. "BRYTTA! STOP BEING SUCH A WUSS. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOUR TALKING ABOUT BUT YOU DIDNT NEED TO HURT MY FEELINGS!" Iris screamed jumping up and down like a cranky child. We all figured that Iris was mad. Brytta just sat there staring. "WELL YOU RUINED MY MOMENT WITH HARRY!" Brytta yelled. "Moment? WHAT MOMENT?!" Iris shouted. "WELL IF YOU DIDNT RUN AWAY, MY MOMENT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN RUINED!" Brytta screamed. "WHO TOLD YOU TO GO LOOK FOR ME?!" Iris shouted. "WELL YOUR SUCH AN AIRHEAD THAT YOU NEED EXTRA CARE!" Brytta snapped. Iris grabbed a pillow and threw it at Brytta's face then ran out the door. We all stared at her running away then at Brytta who was red with anger. "Uhm, Brytta? You okay?" I asked. She nodded. "I think that was a little too much." Brytta sighed. Marie patted Brytta on the back in comfort. I slipped out of the room to catch Iris. I had lost her but knew were she would be. I ran into the valley and looked up at the sky. I remembered what Iris had said to me 14 years ago. "Leah! Leah look! When you look up at the sky and you see that the clouds are moving, that means that the world is moving!" "Yeah! But I'm afraid that we'll fall off the earth!" "We won't, because god made us stay on earth and we are all connected. We will always be friends! Right Leah?" Then I looked down at the bottom of the steep hill and saw Iris sobbing in the grass. God will always keep us friends. I thought while I over to Iris.
Iris' POV
Yeah, I agree I can be annoying at times but, she didn't need to shout it! Gosh! The wind blew stronger. I looked up at the clouds then turned around. Leah was standing there smiling at me. I turned around again. She sat beside me. "How did you know I was here?" I said as I rubbed my teary eyes. "You see the sky? It's blue when your blue. When your happy the sun is there." She replied. She pointed to her heart and smiled. "You taught me that. I don't think your annoying." She grinned. Leah was always there for me. Brytta was too but this time she wasn't. I felt like the was something missing. "Iris?" A voice called. I turned around and it was DJ. A childhood friend of Leah and I. He also knew Brytta. I jumped up and ran up to him. "DJ!" I yelled as I punched him in the stomach. He coughed then looked up. "Nice to see you again..." He whispered in pain. I laughed at his reply. "Hey, D." Leah smiled. "Hey, Leah. How's your doll collection?" DJ asked. "Action figures. THEYRE ACTION FIGURES!" She shouted. They always fought about dolls and action figures. I didn't even know the difference. I pulled out my headphones and plugged it into my phone. I searched my playlists to find 'Truly Madly Deeply'. Then I turned around and sang out loud. For some reason, when I closed my eyes I saw people fighting then getting back together. When the song ended, I smiled and turned around. Then I saw Brytta, out of breath. "I'm-sorry-Iris-I..." She puffed. "I know, me too. I'm sorry."I said taking my earphones out. We both smiled. DJ and Leah smiled too. We went home and invited DJ over. As we were walking I thought to my self "good job, one direction."
