TAOCLAN'S P.O.V

We were all together and everything seemed great. In fact, I felt like me and Starla were getting closer to each other. I knew I had to say something, so I did. "So how are you holding up Starla?" I asked her. "Pretty good I guess. I just want to find something to eat. I think by now we're all starving half to death." She said. And just when she did, we saw a huge rabbit. It wasn't much, but it was food. Like a Cheetah, I sprang at it! But just when I did, I was stopped and knocked back by a stong force. I looked up and saw that it was yet another wolf! I was starting to think that there were more wolves in this forest than the other one! But this one did not seem friendly. His voice was deep and demeaning. "Take the rabbit. You weaker folk can't seem to live without them." "Please," I responded. "You don't seem all too evil and scary, so I think we'll be on our way." "I don't like your tone." He said with an angry expression on his face. "If you think you're so epic, then let's fight right now and we'll see who's lauging then!" He barked. "And by the way, the name's fireshard." I wasn't just going to wuss out. But I was capable of a little more than I thought. I answered him. "I'm not a violent wolf, but I'll fight if I must, and I'll win!" I said. "I'd love to see you try!" He exclaimed. Then, before I knew it, he rammed at me until I hit the ground. I was in fact bleeding. "Are you crazy?!" Whispered Starla. "No." I responded. "I'm strong." But that's when things got out of hand. I was angered and attacked Fireshard. But when I did, I immediately regretted it. I slammed into him, causing him to go flying. He stumbled upon the groud, bruised and quite bloody. I hurt him more than I could ever want to. He groaned. "I was wrong," he said in a low, raspy voice. "I am so sorry!" I said. "Please don't be." He said back. "I was wrong about you. You are a spirit wolf. You are unstoppable when what's inside of you is unlocked. It is part of my code of honor to join you on whatever your quest may be." I was truly happy. But his words made me realize something. Now I wasn't, and still I'm not sure about this, but maybe, just maybe there is a reason that the council kicked me from my pack. If Fireshard was right and I am a spirit wolf, than the council might have been worried that I was too powerful, and might overpower them. It's traditional to the council that if a wolf overpowers and wins a duel with a council member, he takes the position. If a wolf overpowers all of the council members, he is the Alpha of the whole domain. If a wolf and his pack overpower the council, then they can change everything. That's why the council kicked me out. They knew my power. That was surely something to think about.
