Prologue
I've always enjoyed Elkwood. It's peaceful. With flowing rivers, dense forests, heavy rainfall, and not much sun. Though I enjoy it's serene beauty, I've always wanted something more. To be specific, I've always wanted to be a vampire. I've always admired them; they're so sensual or romantic or tormented or murderous. They have so much power yet they can decide to do anything with it. They can give it up and try to live among mortals or take it all in and try to rule the world. Honestly, I admire the mass-murdering ones the best. I feel the closest to them. I despise humanity. They're so selfish, ignorant, greedy, and they all think they can do whatever they want. The murderous ones despise humans as well. They enjoy causing chaos. Something I can relate to as well.
Oh, sorry. Enough rambling about how horrid humans are. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Shiloh Lillian Johnson. I'm not a big fan of labels, but I guess I'm what one might call goth. I love black and purple. I am very fascinated and intrigued by blood and death. I mainly wear corsets, lots of lace, chokers, skirts and tights or dark skinny jeans, boots, and cameos around my neck. I have long black, straight hair. I also have my nose pierced. I'm 17, a senior at Elke Wood High. I'm writing this to tell everyone, especially my family and friends, about what has really been going one. With Tate and the murders. So I guess I should start from the beginning, when Tate first arrived.
