(This is seriously random, read at your own risk XD It's about the line, "Not all those who wander are lost".)
All that is gold does not glitter,Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither,Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken,A light from the shadows shall spring;Renewed shall be blade that was broken,The crownless again shall be king.
~J.R.R. Tolkien
I wander, wander around everywhere. But does that mean I'm lost? No. Just because I may not seem to have a direction or a goal, doesn't mean that I'm lost. Some people have to, or need to explore and wander around, satisfying their own curiosities. Though someone may seem as if they are lost, they might have their own agenda that you're not accounting for. It's all about perception really. Perception and assumption.
When I was younger and played hide and seek with my parents, I would hide around corners and when I saw my parents coming, I'd run off to another corner. Of course, they found me in the end, bet were mad at me because they thought I was lost for a second. Back then, I didn't get it. I said that I wasn't lost, that I knew exactly where I was. That anecdote shows just how much perception and perspective accounts for in our daily lives.
"Not all who wander, are lost.", this quote talks about Aragorn, in the Lord of the Rings, and comes from a poem. Aragorn, who was the rightful king, but when he was younger, chose a different path than what was expected. He wantered around Middle Earth, thought he wasn't lost, even though everyone in Gondor thoguht he was.
Sometimes, it's not about the destination, but the journey to that destination that has the most value.
