Chapter 13: He's back

•I never lost a friend I wanted to keep•

Anthena's P.O.V

I didn't mean to hurt him but I really don't have the same feeling towards him. I see him as my bestfriend and more like a bro thing. My phone suddenly rang.

Ann: Hello?

Jaq: Ann! Its me, Jaq! I miss you.

Ann: Jaq... hey, I miss you too.

Jaq: Wait, you didn't sound okay. What happened? I just saw Neiger walk out of your house. Was it about him?

Ann: Yeah, it's about him. Will you come here right now?

Jaq: I'm on my way, darl.

She hung up and I heard a knock on the front door. I opened it and suddenly a tall guy was right infront of me. I couldn't really see his face as the sunlight was very bright. I tried to focus on his face and poof! It's Jay!

"Hey, Ann. Been a while, right?"

I hugged him without thinking."Wha..Ho.."was the only words that came out of my mouth.

I was very surprised that he is right infront of me. He is someone I once loved. It was a long story between us.

"Surprise?"

He smiled at me and oh gosh I really miss his cute smile.

"When did you arrived here?"

"Yesterday. I was planning on coming here yesterday but something got in my way so yeah. I miss you so much!"

"I miss you so freaking much too! I tried to text you but you didn't reply, why is that?"

"Oh about that, I changed my phone number. I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Now that, since you're he.."

"An.." It was Jaq running towards but she realised that someone is with me. She looks at Jay.

"Jaq! Meet my old friend, Jay."

"Wait, Jay? It's almost the same as my name! Hey, my name is Jacqueline and you can call me, Jaq." She introduce herself to him.

We talked a lot in my house. I still couldn't believe that Jay came back after these past few years. We used to be so close and we shared almost everything together. Also, I used to a feeling towards him. He was generous and very mature. He's also a social butterfly, he talks to everyone and become everyone's friend.

Later that night, he was getting tired and decided to sleepover.

"Yeah, I think you should rest here for now. It's too late if you go home now. Besides, my uncle knows you and I'm sure he'll be okay if you sleep for the night."

Oh yeah my uncle got out of the hospital already but speaking of the hospital, I keep thinking about my grandma. My beloved grandma. I showed him to his room.

A few minutes later I can hear footsteps.

"Hey, Ann. Can I come in?"

I was in the room and Jay suddenly shows his face at the door. Jaq went home just now so it's just me and him for now besides my aunt and uncle.

"Yes, come in."

"So Ann, I'm really sorry that I didn't told you about me changing my phone number and didn't text you back at all. I was really busy."
"Jay, it's okay. At least you came here today and you really made my day."

"Do you miss the way things are between us?" Why did he mention about that..

"I do but I've move on you know."

"Yeah, I understand why. I should go and take a rest right now. See you in the morning, Ann."

He smiled and I smiled back at him. He went out and walk towards the other room.
