It's finally October, everyone can tell by a bunch of pumkins carved with smiley faces were seen everywhere. The weather only got a little bit colder, and sometimes annoying rains appeared. Mostly every trees were covered with beautiful red (orange, Mike argued) leaves and Levi said they're going to die soon, and everyone would scold him for his sarcastic personality. It's also the season of Halloween. Somehow in one night the whole town was alread decorated except Levi's house as he always said he never enjoyed Halloween. The shops had already purchased costumes, and then ran out of them in such a short time. Levi always complains about those things and Petra somehow finds it cute.
"Are you quite finished yet?" Nanaba asked full of sarcasm. Petra had been rambling all about Levi for 2 hours. Nanaba was quite a lot bored by it while Hanji was begging her to continue the story.
The three girls gathered up at Petra's house after a pretty long time since that last visit of them at her place. It was just a small cozy apartment but modern and really rad and that's enough for her to call home.
"Oops, sorry, I talked too much didn't I?" She immediately stopped.
"No no no no! Keep going! We won't bother!" Hanji waved her hands around then turned to Nanaba with a glare "And Nana, it's not like you also talk about Mike all the time before you two started dating, so hush!"
Nanaba turned red instantly and tried to think of a way to protest, Hanji was not one you would want to argue with under any circumstances. Petra giggled behind them.
"Since I'm pretty new here, mind filling in for me how did you two begin all this?" The red head gestured her hand at Nanaba's shining finger. Hanji turned eyes wide as she took in the sight of the tiny silver band with a bright jewel around her friend's ring finger. She held Nanaba's hand, examining it over and over. The blonde's face wears a surprised expression but still managed to laugh at Hanji.
"And what the heck is this?! You got engaged and you're not gonna tell us?! Woman!" The brunette exclaimed. Petra smiled warmly at her.
"I gotta compliment myself for my bright eyes. Since when?"
"A few days ago. I was just about to tell you guys today." Nanaba's face wore a pure expression as she fondly look down at the ring. Hanji examined harder.
"You're kidding me? This thing is real jewel! Must be expensive! I knew it! I always have this theory of Mike being secretly rich and lied to us about it so I won't borrow him money to buy lab equipments." Her friends fixed her a blank look. "It's probably true anyway. But I'm curious," Petra muttered 'you're always curious' besides her, "How did he do it? Did you two walk in Central Park under those romantic red leaves, and then he kneeled down and asked you? Or did you two have a horse ride and-"
"No Hanji, we didn't do anything much, we were just in our house, he dropped the thing several times before I did it for him eventually." Nanaba shook her head, but the fond smile on her lips was probably the most precious thing Petra had ever seen. "But it's enough for me, enough to prove that he really-"
"No, not those cheesy cliche romantic line again." Hanji rolled her eyes.
"Shut it Hanji, you read those, what do you call it, fanficks all the time, those things are even more cliche, and you don't really understand the feeling of loving someone just by reading those." Nanaba swated her hand away.
"You're talking about feelings with an Aromantic person, mind you. And those are fanfics! They are full of wonder and fantasies, you people are boring!" Petra must laugh at that.
"Congrats you two anyway!" She smiled at her blonde friend, to which she nodded gratefully.
"Yeah, congratulations! But please inform me about the wedding and kids next time, I don't wanna miss all the fun." Hanji pouted as she clinged onto Nanaba, the blonde hugged her back in return.
