"Alice! Alice wake up! You've got a visitor!" my mum shakes me.

"Mum. I'm up. I'll be downstairs in a minute just.. get them some tea and tell 'em I'll be right there." I mumble. I climb out of bed and wrap a blanket around myself. I look in the mirror. My brown hair is a total disaster sticking out in every direction. My blue eyes are dragged down by the bags under them. Well? What did I expect? I just woke up. I'm in my penguin pajamas and my furry penguin slippers. My nose is a bright red color and my skin is as pale as a ghost.

I shuffle downstairs and sit on the couch across from a woman in a suit. Her hair lays perfectly on her head. I don't know how people can wake up so early in the morning and look so perfect. It makes me sick.

"Martha Jones, miss." she shakes my hand.

"No need to call me miss. Just Alice."

"Alright, Alice. As you may know, there's been a death in the middle of the woods. They've investigated it and blame me. I was at the crime scene because I had just returned from a.. trip. That's all they have filed against me. I need you to prove it wasn't me." she speaks hurriedly.

"Alright. Did they state the cause of death?"

"Bullet through the chest."

"Nice way to die. Do you own a weapon?"

"Just a pocket knife."

"Do you know how to use one?"

"No."

I hand her my shot gun. "Shoot that wall over there. You see where the yellow smiling face is? Shoot at it."

"Alright." she takes the gun, loads it, and shoots it perfectly where the eye is painted.

"I can't prove it wasn't you."

"Why not?"

"I mean I can. But you obviously did it."

She whispers nervously. "I didn't mean to. I really didn't."

"Nobody with as good an aim as what you just had could fire a gun and accidentally hit someone. Trust me. I know. I'm not going to put you in jail, no. Just tell me one thing."

"What's that?"

"Who were you on the trip with?"

"The- ur- the Doctor." she stutters.

"Here's my number. I do psychology as well as the science of deduction. Now if I could have my gun back." she hands me the gun and whimpers out the door.

"Sometimes I wish you weren't as intelligent as you are. You're awful rude sometimes." my mum scolds

"Mum, I'm going out for the day. Don't look for me. I might be out for the night even. I just need to get out." I reply. I run upstairs and get dressed in a pair of jeans, blue converse shoes, a red shirt, my long black pea-coat, my gloves, and my dad's old blue scarf. I grab my gun, my bow and arrows, and my throwing knife and put them in my brown bag. I brush through my hair and rush back downstairs.

"Oh, and by the way mum, that's why you married dad." I say as I close the door behind me. I hear her say quietly. "Just like her father, that one."

I rush through the crowded streets of London. People push me back a little, but eventually I make it to the woods. I go to the woods once in a while when I need to get my mind off of things or I'm just bored. In this case it's both. I haven't had a good case in months. That and I just let a murderer out of my house onto the streets of London without notifying the Police.

I take the gun out of my bag and shoot it into a tree. As I'm walking, I eventually reach my favorite spot, the old Willow tree in a clearing in the woods. I've often sat under the tree and read. When I was small, my dad would read to me. I climb under the wall of leaves and sit at the base of the tree. That's when I hear the sound.

WhrrrrrRRrrr. WhrrrrRRrrrr. WhrrrrRRrrr. I follow the sound to its destination about 50 yards away, to a big blue box reading Police Public Call Box. A man opens the door of the box and looks at me. I step backwards just in case he's armed.

"Well then, where am I?" he asks me. "When am I?"

"Erm.. 21st century. In the woods a little whiles away from London." I respond.

"Who are you then?"

"Alice. I'm- Alice. Holmes." I stutter.

He grabs my hand and shakes it. "Nice to meet you, Alice. I'm the Doctor.-"

The Doctor.  The name bounces around in my head. Martha Jones just got home from a trip with him.

"Oh and by the way, Doctor. Martha Jones? Being convicted of murder of the 1st degree."

"How did you?.."

"I'm Sherlock Holmes' daughter. I remember anything that's ever happened. I see everything is happening and I see everything that could happen. You think I would forget something that crossed my path an hour ago?"

Suddenly, the ground shakes beneath us. This isn't an ordinary earthquake tremor. A split forms in the earth, precisely where we're standing and we fall through it. We hit cold ground and both get knocked out.

Later on, I wake up. The Doctor is still unconscious. We're tied to a pole, side by side. I look around. There's basically nothing but darkness.. and..

"Aaah." a spooky voice says. "The timelord and his mistress. How nice."

Ghosts.

"I'm not his mistress." I state.

I hear the Doctor's sonic screwdriver go off. We're untied moments after.

"You may not be his mistress yet, but you will be soon." the ghost says and the bodiless soul enters my throat and takes control of my body. I can only see things. I can't do anything. I'm moved closer and closer to the Doctor.

"Get out of her!" he demands. "I'm warning you!"

"What are you going to do, Doctor? Moisturize me?" says the ghastly voice. He realizes something.

"Cassandra." he hisses. "Get out of her. Now."

She throws my body into his and rams my lips onto his. She gets my fingers tangled in his hair. She pulls away and leaves my body and floats into the air again. I trap her soul in a bottle. "Not again, Cassandra. I thought you were done jumping from body to body." says the Doctor, in a sort of dazed confused way. He pulls out his sonic screwdriver again and seals the lid to the bottle. "Now you can't get out, and you'll die within the hour, Cassandra."

"But I don't want to die." she croaks.

"We've been through this once, Cassandra. Everyone has their time."

We climb back up above ground and leave the bottle down there. The Doctor opens the door to the the blue box.

"So would you possibly like to travel with me? I could take you through the galaxy. Did I mention it can also travel in time?" he asks.

"Well, I told mum I'd be out for the night... Alright. I'll go with you." I walk into the blue box. It's...

"Bigger on the inside..." I am speechless. This is the most amazing scientific design I've seen in my life! Oh this is fantastic.

"This is the TARDIS, by the way. Time And Relative Dimension In Space." he says. "So where would you like to go first?"
