Chapter 5: Ace Vs Khris

I stride to the centre of the arena and stare Khris dead in the eye with a steel gaze. I k ow he is an earth elementalist just by the sheer size of him, he wouldn't go for any other element. But furthermore I can tell by the huge crimson great sword sheathed on his back. I already know this will be a tough fight. Neither dark nor earth is really that strong or weak against the other. You see each element has a weakness to another one, with exception of dark and light who only have a weakness but also strength against each other, and necro as that's a completely different matter all together. Realistically Leana would be more suited to this fight with her Lightning abilities. But hey, I've always wanted the chance to put Khris in his place.

If I remember correctly, Khris is strong in elemental useage and brute strength, however he's not very profound in Heti, Nora and Jex abilities. Destructive, Illusion and Healing abilities. There are one hundred in each and the enchantments to cast them get longer with each. However the more you use them usually you gain the power to preform the ability without saying the enchantments and only the skill name. But this is only possible to the number 65. No one other than the Ethereal Knights can go above that number.

The procter steps in the middle of us and asks, "Are both contestants ready?" We both nod slightly.

"Begin!" The procter dashes back words.

Quickly I unsheathed my scythe from my back and slide back words until I'm in the shadows of the arena, putting a safe distance between me and Khris. I am both a long and close range fighter, but I would rather get this fight done with without a scratch.

Khris barrels towards me, grinning like a maniac with sword gripped in both hands "You're so going to loose Ace!" He reaches me and attempts to cut me but I vanish, dashing to the side, sliding up the arena's wall and sending my Scythe screaming his way, watching as he rolls just a little too late so it nicks his cheek.

He growls furiously "Lucky shot" he mutters and jumps read to slice me again, when will this guy learn that brute force won't work. But suddenly he chants "Olandernay!" And sends hundreds of mini little swords flying my way, I have just enough time to save myself by using my Himasugetshu. However I won't be able to use that ability for a while now, the darkness wraps around the blades he sent flying my way and scatter them away.

He laughs and grins "You should've seen your face, but you haven't noticed have you Ace? You should be feeling it around about.....now!"

My body suddenly seizes up and my muscles become tight. Damn it, I forgot that Earth elementalists are strong in sealing strikes. I won't be able to shake this off for a while.....ugh.....what to do....If I loose this fight I will never make it to Ethereal, they will look at my record and call me a failure!

"Aceeeeeeee..." Maquoshi-zu-tah whispers. "Useeeeeee it........release your power I know you have in you........if you are determined enough you can unlock it already...........if you don't.........you will never achieve your dreams...........you have about ten seconds to do it...........so reach inside of you.........grasp the power.........and send it forth!!!!!!"

"This is the end Ace!!!!!!" Khris cackles and comes straight for me, attempting to run me through.

"Maquoshi-zu-tah...." I whisper. "STRIKE! SEND FORTH AND BIND! MAQUOSHI-ZU-TAH! BIONDAI!!!!!!!" Khris just has time to realise what I'm doing before his seal breaks and he misses his attack and I slide to the other side of the arena, and stare him dead in the eye.

I realise what he is looking at now, my Biondai, my first release stage, its changed my appearance, my dark cloak now swoops down to my ankles and has purple edges and streams of power eradicating from it. My scythe has turned into two chained scythes that are extendable, and my power levels are way higher than his.

"Its time we ended this!" I snarl "Hendoronai-Himasugetshu!!" A shockwave of dark energy heads towards Khris, impossible to block or dodge, and engulfs him in a ball of darkness, twisting around him and cutting and binding him, it then disapates and let's him drop to the ground. The marshalls quickly come out and take him to the doctors room.

The procter steps forward and coughs "As Khris is unable to continue the winner is Ace Underwing!"

Cheers erupt and I head back up to my friends, letting my power and biondai dissapate. I've grown stringer in the heat of battle.

"Good job..." Maquoshi zu tah whispers

I nod and sit next to Paige and wait for the next match to start.

*Could Paige O'Connor and Vaan Kurinchki go down to the arena battle grounds now please!* The tannoy booms.

Me and Leana look up at them both and wish them both good luck, and subconsciously I realise I had been holding Paige's hand......
