My eardrums burst with the sound of cheerful laughter and daft conversations. I scan the area looking for her, but she is nowhere to be seen. I keep my eyes peeled and hover around the room like a hawk. I know she's here. She always is. Everyday she walks this floor having polite conversations with every hopeless wanderer here. I wait, I study everyone's face until my glance finds hers. There she is. I make my move and and steadily walk up to her.
"Hey." I stand infront of her blocking her path.
"Hi, do I know you?" She was wearing a friendly smile across her angelic face. In my mind I was saying "no, but I know you."
"No, I'm just new in town and I'm trying to get to know the people around here." I ended my sentence with an innocent grin.
"Oh, ok, I'm Hailey Turner and I live down the street." I already knew this but continued to act dumb to keep my cover.
"Well, hi Hailey I'm Tyler Larkin and I live in number 52." I let out a small smirk.
"Cool, well, I have to go but here's my number." She gingerly took out a pen and wrote on my arm.
"Ring me whenever you want someone to talk to." She began to walk away but still remained eye contact.
"Thanks I will." I gave another cheerful smile and when Hailey was out of sight so was my smile. I waited a few minutes then returned to my house.
When I arrived home I went upstairs and quickly scurried to the locked room at the end of the hall. I took out the rusted key and turned the handle. I took out my new photographs and hungthem on the wall along with the rest of my collection, my very own albulm of Hailey Turner and her friends and family. Soon my collection will be complete.
