As I lay dying, the world seems more calm.
My hearing more acute.
My senses more accurate.
A birds sing in the distance soothes me.
The warm, gentle breeze cooling me down.
The fresh scent of flowers and soil surrounding me in a warm embrace.
And how the sun shines a warm glow upon me.
As I lay dying, I feel that I have traveled every inch of everything that ever is, ever was, and ever will be.
The past, present, and future guiding me to my end.
And soon the birds song fades.
The breeze is still.
The scents of the flowers and soil disappear.
The sun setting, leaving me cold.
In those moments I realize something.
That death is always surrounding us.
How death can be as wonderfully chaotic as life.
And as I lay dying the night takes me away, guiding me to my new beginning.
