Storm was tired of waiting for the shipments of the new supplies. The store manager had been called away to another family emergencie.
Storm didn't blame her for wanting to go on a date with the guy she met in aisle 3 just a week before.
She knew that's what the manager was really doing. Most of her family that got hurt were not alive anymore. The so called company that owns the place doesn't bother to check that.
Storm sat and thought of places she would rather be than the soundless store.
Han was out on vacation with her family. Jules moved a week before Han left. Everybody else she didn't bother thinking of were probably doing better things.
She wished she could be able to talk to people without problems. Only Han and Jules were okay. Even with them she felt as if she wasn't a people person. They both had their own set of friends and would sometimes leave storm to be with them. Storm didn't mind she was used to it by now.
She didn't seem to connect with anyone since she was very small.
Everthing was just so....normal to her. The only thing that wasn't normal was her mother dying right in that hospital.
She had been so healthy and ready for the birth her grandmother told her. Her grandma was with storm's mother, diana, not storm's father. Storm's mothers last breath was storm's first. Her grandmother said that Storm's mother had chosen the name storm long before she was born.
Like she was way ahead of everybody.
Her grandmother always said to storm whenever she was small was that her mother was talented, curious, and a woman of many secrets.
The way she described her made
Storm want to meet her.
Unfortunately she couldn't.
Instead she was stuck in a store waiting for some deliverer to come and give her what she needed.
It was already 12 a.m. when the person showed.
Is she trying to be fashionably late?, Storm snickered to herself.
The delivery person was....unique.
Her haired tied up in a ponytail which was unnaturally shiny. She looked rather short for an adult and her skin was a pale white skin like Storm's.
She wore no work related attire only a name tag stating her name. 'Hensworth' it read in cursive bold letters.
"Are you Ms.Tuttle?" she said in a thick southern accent. It was familiar and relaxing in a way.
Storm let out a sigh before answering, "Do I look like a Tuttle? "
" You need to sign this anyway."
Hensworth handed storm the pad and stared at her searchingly. "You look.....different then most people I come across here in Cave."
Storm returns the stare wondering what about her makes this so.
She isn't anything special nothing about her sparkled in a special way.
Storm had never know any adventure unless it was on paper. This lady must be crazy storm's mind conjured.
"I have a feeling you don't believe it true." Storm unintentionally nodded answering the lady.
"Even if you think that, truly deep down you know you can sparkle." Her voice was so soothing that storm almost nodded once again but stop herself.
"I have nothing sparkly about me lady." She coughed, "I mean Mrs or Ms. Hensworth.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that even those who think they don't deserve to sparkle do. In truth everybody deserves to sparkle. Though only few can."
"Whats with you and the word sparkle? Theres only so many times you can use that word." Storm mumbled, Hensworth heard her loud and clear though.
"Lets just say I have a special attachment to it." she winked then flicked her finger toward the pad.
"Oh...ya.....here."
Hensworth took the pad and lingered, "I have good connections with a school for people possibly like you."

"You don't even know me. Also as I told you before I am nothing special." Storm said to hensworth.
"But...Every-"
"Look I really don't want to be here any longer than needed please just let me go home."
Hensworth nodded and swiftly left not before saying, "I'll see you again Storm."
Which left Storm confused and a tad bit worried. How did she know my name? Storm had that question in her head as she headed home after closing up the store.
She was a little happy though. No one had ever called her different or special. Most people ignored her and she didn't pay it much mind all the time.
Storm still thought the woman was a little off her rocker, but it was nice to have someone be nice to her that way. Even if she was a little nuts the best peopleare. ( eh slight melanie martinez reference I am so sly 😉) everyone deserves to sparkle huh. Well this girl just can't. Storm thought grimly as she opened the door to her apartment, quietly, so she wouldn't wake her grandparents.
She slowly tiptoed her way to her bedroom and shut herself inside.
She had enough of today and jumped into her bed and
Went....
........into......a.....deep.....slumber.
