-Jenny-
The ground was hard beneath my back. It was also wet and cold. Chains were tight around my wrists, ankles, and even around my waist. I look around and see nothing but darkness. Slowly, I pull my feet towards me, and use my arms to push myself up, so that I'm in a sitting position.
Woah! Wait... I lift my eyelashes, and you could not guess how tempted I was to facepalm myself. Well not that actually opening my eyes (I'm stupid, I know) helped, it was still really dark.
I couldn't remeber anything from the previous night. Okay, just to clarify, I'm assuming it's morning, because whoever kidnapped me, decided that they weren't going to be nice enough to at least give me a way to tell time. Like, a watch would've been great, and even a window could've helped. But noooo... They had to make sure I was confused. I guess that makes me easier to rape me, or do whatever they were planning on doing.
I shivered at the thought. Come to think of it, why am I in a dark room? And why was I kidnapped? Why do I have no memory of the previous night? Or even earlier this day, I have no idea. Yeah, thanks a lot kidnappers! Window would've been convenient.
I looked around for a bit. From what I could make out, there was a door, or a door-shaped monster, then there was a desk, or a desk-shaped monster.
What? I'm scared of the dark. It's normal for a twelve year old girl! Okay?
The door (or door-shaped monster) made a click. In fright, I immediately decided it was best to act like I'm asleep. I lowered myself quickly. I froze as the chains around me made a huge amount of noise. Damn it! Really, I should have thought this through more carefully. The door swung open, confirming it was a door all along, not a monster... Still suspicious about that desk, though.
Despite the amount of noise I had just made, I decided to still act like I'm asleep. Hey, maybe my kidnappers are blind! You never know.
I heard people entering the room, then the door slammed shut, making me jump. "We know you're awake." A voice said. A deep, male voice. I opened my eyes and sat upright. "If you didn't it would've been seriously pathetice. So, congratulations on not being pathetic and all, but I have to go, my curfew is at ten, I'm not really sure what time it is. What's up with that by the way, you could at least give the girl you kidna-"
"Shut up!" Another voice said, also male. I couldn't see much, but it looked like there were three people in the room, obviously not counting the possible desk-shaped monster.
A male in the corner chuckled. He was standing near the monster. Risky move, buddy! His chuckle turned into a laugh.
One of the boys bent down and looked deep into my eyes. I noticed his were a darkish blue. The other boy was still standing by the door. He was watching the desk. So he knew about the monster... I'm impressed.
The guy in the corner started laughing crazily. "Okay, first of all," I started, pushing away the guy that was now only a few inches away from my face. "Personal space, okay? And you, in the corner! What is so funny?"
The guy in the corner - let's call him Chuckles - gasped for breath between laughs. "You!" He said. "I didn't say anything!" I defensed myself. Personal-Space-Guy gave Chuckles what looked like a death glare.
"Shut up, Charles!" Personal-Space-Guy screamed. Wow, I was actually really close to his name. Chuckles's laughing died down a bit. The other guy was still staring at the desk-monster, waiting for it to make it's first move. I'll call him Smart-Guy. He's the only one who really knows what's going on here.
Charles started laughing again. "Dear lord, Charles, what could she possibly be thinking that's so funny?" Personal-Space-Guy sighed angrily. "Dude, she's hilarious! Please, can we keep her?" Charles asked. I'm not a frickin' dog! Keep me? Is he being serious?
That's when I lost it. My eyes darkened and my blood boiled. No one keeps me in the dark! "Can someone turn on the bloody light and tell me what's going on?" I screamed. The three boys stared at me in silence. Was it something I said?
"Charles, explain it to her. Nathan and I are going to go upstairs." Personal-Space-Guy said. Charles nodded as he and Nathan, previously known as Smart-Guy, left the room.
Charles walked to the door and switched on the light. He looked at me and smiled. He had long, wavy, dirty blond hair, a dazzling smile, crystal blue eyes, with a well-built bod. Wow, was this guy a model or something? "Nope." He chuckled. "I didn't-"
"I know you didn't say anything. I read your thoughts." He grinned. I snickered. "Charles, look, I know jokes are fun and all, but now's not the time to pretend you're supernatural." I say, making a fake pity face.
Okay, so at that moment, I saw many emotions on Charles's face, annoyance, lots, anger, that too, sadness, sort of. But trust me, amusement wasn't ons of them.
"I'm not pretending little girl, I really-" I cut him off, "I am not little. I'm a big girl." I huff. Now I'm the one that's not amused. "Oh, so big girls are scared of desk-monsters?" He smirked. My eyes shot wide open and my mouth gaped. My heart started beating faster. "H-How'd you? Huh?" I stutter, not able to get any proper words to come out.
"I told you, we're supernatural. We're vampires." He says, then walks out the door as I stare after him.
What have I gotten myself into?
