My part and point of view for my friend.
Nakita’s point of view.
I slugged down on my bottle of Grants whisky, its small rim shining in the light of my small front room. After a while I managed to scrape my eyes away from the dependant light of the TV and instead stare out of the window at the road and rolls of countryside hills in the background. Switching off the TV I managed to stumble onto my drunken legs, the standing was easy it’s the walking you have to worry about.
I trudged on scrapping my feet on the floor as I wobbled to the doorway. My dark toned skin of my hand fell onto the over exaggerated, in size, door knob. The old door croaked open and the sunlight hit my face like a smack in the face. My nerves shuddered from the sudden heat. I drank the rest of the alcohol before dropping the bottle on the floor, the glass exploding everywhere. Some shards fell onto my clothes but as it was I took no notice of the sharp objects so close to my skin for they would not harm me as I can barely be harmed, for I am practically immortal. I leapt forth into a slandered jump and landed on 4 furry black paws. The muscles up my legs rippled as it took on the weight of shear power and bone. For complete unknown reasons that may have been influenced by alcohol, all I wanted to do was… Run…
So I did.
-3 days later-
My padded paws squashed flat as my secure paws landed at a run towards my door. I hadn’t been back in 3 days and my thirst for whisky was overpowering. Shoving the door closed behind me I set myself to work trying to seek out a bottle of god’s nectar. Minutes passed with not a single drop left to sniff. My tongue felt dry and rough like sandpaper and my throat felt even worse. I shifted back into my human self and began emptying the out-dated mouldy food that was in my fridge. Nothing, no whisky in here. I threw clothes around and made the place more ‘decorative’ than before. I felt cheated and awful. My mood was currently angry and my body was tired from phasing back and forth between human and wolf. All of the bone shifting took its toll eventually. Without warning my phone rang its shrill ring echoed in the house. I wandered over and pulled the phone off the wall whilst placing my other hand on the wall so I could relax. “Hello?” I asked, “Hello? Is this MissNakitaBlackMountain?” the anxious voice called “that’s my name,” “oh thank god this is the Saint Colombus hospital, we have what we believe is your cousin, well at least she keeps on mumbling your name and muttering cousin aloud” ‘Hatter? In hospital’ I thought to myself, “yes that would be my cousin Hatter, is she alright? What has she done now?” I asked with a cold tone, “that is for you and the doctor to discuss. I can’t say over the phone. If you could come over as her only known relative we can discuss further in person.” She told me bluntly, “fine, I will be there as soon as I can.”
I arrived at the hospital in my deep burgundy red dodge viper. And then wandered aimlessly into the hospital. I didn’t like hospitals. Or rather I don’t like needles.
I wandered over to the front desk and ask where Hatter was so I could get in and get out as fast as possible! I walked into the elevator with 2 other people and came out alone as I reached one of the top floors. I walked into room 401 and walked along the beds scanning faces for the familiar one. I found Hatter on the last bed at the end. She had a thin cotton duvet covering her and all of the medical things on her bed side table, she didn’t have anything sticking out of her thank god and for my sake there wasn’t any casts strapped to her limbs. I wandered closer and sat in the chair beside her bed waiting and wandering, ‘why is she in hospital? Check for visible signs.’ I ran my hand down her arm checking for any scratches of bruises and then checked the other arm. I looked her head over in case she had tripped up and given herself concussions but there were no signs of damage to be seen above sheet level. After a few minutes a doctor walked in with clipboards and pens. “Ah, good. How are you miss? I am Doctor Bell. You are Hatters cousin I take it?” “Yep.” I answered with slight nausea in my tone. “I wanted to speak to you privately about this as it is not a normal thing to happen…” I waited for him to continue “she has from what we can tell been attacked and or bitten by an animal with sharp teeth.” ‘vampire’ flashed through my head. If I was correct then the bite holes would be small and not very deep as a dogs of large animal would have larger holes and tears. He continued on “the animal must have taken her by surprise as there are no rips of the skin and it is more or less a clear entry in and out. The possibilities are endless for what could have done such a thing. Id like to keep her in hospital to get further information but it is not up to me… It is up to you”, “if I can find some contacts then id be happier to take her back home with me” I whispered to him, now afraid of what could have happened to my dear cousin. After the doctor left I flipped up my phone and began to phone people up, I was going to find the little beast if it cost me a lot of pain!
