Chapter 10- The End

Author's Note- I know its been a while, but I finally updated! I am really sorry, I just got lazy. Thank you to anyone who reads this.

I pressed the gem again, and I glowed red, orange, and all the colors in  a regular fire. It was awesome! But it only lasted for about 10 seconds. And it ran on a battery, but the battery lasted a long time.

I left the dressing room and got ready for the crowning of the champions. I met up with Aspen in the hallway before the stage, and we were both nervous, and so were the other two tributes. We walked quickly on to the stage and were met with the bright colors of the audience, who cheered loudly as we walked in.

President McCullough walks on and presents us with our crowns, and the crowd cheers even louder. The anthem plays, and he says a few words. I just ignored him, and waited to get up till everyone else did. We left and went on our separate trains, which separated Aspen and me. I was kind of sad, and I missed her, but I knew we would see each other again in a couple of months.

*Skip 2 months till they visit the districts to be congratulated*

Finally the train comes to pick me up, and I finally will get to see Aspen again. We pick up Aspen and the other tributes and go to district 1 to be congratulated. Aspen and I catch up with each other and get to know each other even better. I start to have a crush on her, and I think she has one on me, too!

"I know this might be weird since we're from different districts, but I really like you." I say to her.

"I know, silly, we're really good friends." she answers

"I mean more than that." I say

"Oh." she says, "I think I like you, too."

We go to my room so we can be sort of in private, and we talk some more. We get really close to each other, and are about to kiss when Eden barges in and says, "Time to get out, we have to visit District one!"

*Magic jumpy time skip to the end of the trip*

Aspen and are going out now, so I am allowed to move to her district (N/A I forgot what district it was guys) so we can actually be with each other. And we are happy until the next Hunger Games comes up, but that is for another time.
