TAOCLAN'S P.O.V

It took me a second to realize it, but I figured out that we weren't just a bunch of lone wolves walking together. We were a pack. Fireshard being the Omega, Shadowfur the Delta, Slush the Beta, Me the Alpha, leaving Starla... The Alpha female. But were me and Starla really mates? I wanted to say we were, but what did Starla think? I had to do something. So I did. "Hey Starla," I said. "I'm sure we could both go for some breakfast, want to come hunting with me?" I asked her. "Sure," she replied. It wasn't too romantic, but it was better than nothing. We ran north. And we saw a towering deer. This thing was enough to feed the whole pack. We slowly approahed it, but it saw us. And we saw something else. This was no deer. It was a huge Elk. And it had sharp horns. It must have saw Starla first, because it charged at her! I was NOT going to let this happen. Before the Elk hit Starla, I leaped in it's way head first, even though I thought it would hurt. But I was a lot stronger than the Elk. I slammed into it, and it stumbled to the ground. I thought it would kill me, but I killed it. "Y-you saved my life," said Starla in a shocked voice. "Hey, we're a pack. And the pack sticks together." I told her. "Also," I said. I looked her in the eyes. "I feel a connection between us. I think we should be together." I said. "I feel the same way" she replied. We got closer to each other and we walked back. Now we were the Alphas. None of us were alone anymore. We were a complete pack. We found the others. "Hey guys!" I shouted. "We found food!" "Finally!" Said Shadowfur. "We've been starving for days!" Commented Slush. We ran to the Elk and we ate. After we were good and energized, we went on the move, until we were out of the woods. We had expanded all the way to the Arctic plains. We ran through the snow towards a huge blob that appeared in the sky. And when we got closer, we saw that this was no blob, it was a mountain! And there were more behind it! This was a perfect place to live! It had bison roaming, lakes near the mountains, and huge caves. It was perfect! But we weren't the first ones there. There was another pack in view and they looked like they wanted the mountains too. I didn't see any problem though, because we could surely just split the territory. But things went differently. Our pack walked up to the others, and I spoke. "Hello," I said. "I think we all want the mountains, so how about we divide into territories." I told their Alpha. "Are you kidding me?" He roared in a furious tone. "Those mountains belong to us!" "Well," I replied. "There's a lot of mountain, and I think there will be room for both packs." "NO YOU IDIOTS, WE WERE HERE FIRST!" He shouted. Suddenly, he charged at me, and I slammed to the ground, bruised and bloody. His pack ran by him. "We fight for these mountains, right here, right now!" He growled. This isn't what I wanted, but I was ready to fight. "You're on." I said. And it really was on.
