          "Hahaha!"
Henry and Archer doubled over, holding their stomachs as they laughed.
By now, Alex was seated on a log, resting her annoyed face on her palm. Who the hell were they laughing at?
Finally, their roars of laughter receded. Henry and Archer wiped their teary eyes, their faces red from laughing so hard.
"That was hilarious! You definitely just made my day," Archer said lightly. Alex glared at him, making him flinch back in fear. Wide-eyed, he slowly stepped back and hid behind his twin.
"What the hell are you doing?" Henry asked, confused.
"No judging me! That girl has got a terrifying death glare!" Archer cried back.
"Enough!" Alex shouted. She was officially ticked off. How dare they laugh at her! Enough of this nonsense!
Henry and Archer gave each other a nervous look. Alex looked like she was one chuckle away from growing fangs and tearing both their throats out.
"You sexist pigs! How dare you judge me because I am a woman!" Alex shouted at the twins. Her face grew somber.

"I have trained my whole life for this. My father trained me himself. Surely, you have heard of Sir Demetrius?"
Henry and Archer gasped. Sir Demetrius was practically a legend. Every knight had heard of him, and the older knights had gotten the privilege to fight alongside him. Unfortunately, the twins never got to meet him. Henry and Archer had been recruited a few months after his death.
"I looked up to my father, and I always will. He trained me in hopes that I would become great, but the king of those dark bastards took away his chance of seeing his wish come true. My years of preparation will not go to waste and I refuse to let my father's legacy die. I know that I can do this," Alex stared into their eyes, willing them to understand, "So please, give me a chance." she concluded.
The twins looked at Alex for quite a while. After a few minutes, Archer moved his gaze to his brother. Alex stared back at Henry, never wavering.
Henry's face was blank. Even his eyes showed no hint of his emotions. Eventually Henry turned and met his twin's questioning look.
Alex became curious. The brothers were looking at each other like they were conversing. She would have to ask about that later.
Anxiety grew deep inside her belly. This was it. The moment that would decide her future.
Great, she thought to herself sarcastically, my future is in the hands of the nimrod twins. Pushing her thoughts back, she awaited her answer.
Henry turned back to Alex and stared. After what felt like an eternity, he spoke.
"If you die, it's not our fault."
