first day, hey bae

Zola (POV):
I woke up this morning feeling tired from last night. "Ugh, work really stresses me out", I thought to myself as my mind continued to wonder. Today is the first day of school, but this year will be special. Why? Because I am officially a senior! I finally got out of my bed and went straight to my closet.
"See this is exactly what I am talking about! I hate I got here so late last night, now I don't know what I want to wear", I said to myself while looking through my closet. I just hate the fact that I be so tired from work, it seem like I don't have the time to do anything anymore. I finally picked out an outfit, I decided to wear a gray skirt with a cute graphic tee and I paired my jean jacket with it. "Basic but different", I said to myself while laying my clothes out on the bed. While I was walking to my bathroom I cut off my thoughts and started the shower. I brushed my teeth, got out my facial cleanser and hopped in the shower.
20 minutes later..
I walked out of the bathroom into my room and began to put on my underclothes. After I finished doing my morning routine, I went to pick up my phone noticing I had over 10 unread text messages. I began looking through my phone and I decided to put on some music. "Done with these niggas, I don't love these niggas, I dust off these niggas, do it for fun..", I heard Sza sing as I began to put on my clothes. "Aye, this my favorite song", I thought to myself. I finished putting on my clothes so I began doing my eyebrows and applying lip gloss. After I finished getting dressed I went to my fathers room, "Goodmorning dad, I am about to leave the house for school. You need anything?", I asked while kissing his cheek while he was laying down. "No baby, Im fine. Are you working tonight?", He asked as he turned over facing me. "No sir, Im off for the rest of the week thank God!", I said excitedly. He began to laugh at me, "Well okay, I have to go to the doctor today. So I might come home late, just make sure you're safe". I blew him a kiss and begun to walk away until I heard him call me, "Yes?", I yelled.  "Oh I forgot to tell you that your brother is coming home Thursday, we are going to go get him okay?", He yelled. "Okay dad, Ill see you later, love you!", I began to yell while walking into the kitchen grabbing my car keys. While walking out the house I made my way to my car. I put on my seat belt, and called my best friend Adrianna, but I call her Adri. "Good morning bestie, where you at?", Adri asked as soon as she answered. "Good morning girl, and just not leaving the house. Im about to go to McDonalds and the store. You need something?", I asked while driving. "Girl no thank you, I already went to the store, I got you some gum though. But um, Im almost to the school, let me know when you get here.", Adri said. We said our finally words and hung up the phone.
   Pulling up in the school parking lot right beside Adri. She looked up at me and smiled, I gathered my things and got out the car. "Girl these kids look turnt already", Adri said while getting her stuff out her car. "Yes girl I know, lets go ahead and find us a seat. We got like 30 minutes until the bell ring", I said while we began to walk towards the group of people. As we were walking everybody had their eyes on us like we were some celebrities. "Girl why they staring?", Adri asked me while laughing. "I don't know, I guess they hungry", I said while looking for a seat. We finally came across an empty table, I began to put my stuff down and eat my food. This sausage biscuit and caramel frappe about to be bussing, Adri began pulling out her McGriddle sandwich. "You want to trade piece for piece?", I said wanting a piece of her sandwich. We laughed and traded pieces of our sandwich, "You going to prom?", Adri asked. I looked at her like she was crazy, "Girl you already know i'm coming for everybody this year", I said while drinking my coffee. As we was talking and laughing some boy came by and put this flyer on our table. I picked it up and read it, "Back to school bash? 7-til this Friday? Why the fuck they showing out already?", I said while laughing my butt off. Adri rolled her eyes, "You know I hate to admit it, but i'm going no questions asked." I rolled my eyes at this crazy girl, Adri is such a party animal. She loves to party, but one thing about her she be on her boss junk. Me and my girl is so put together, we got money, we not into drama, and we only got us. We lit! "Well if you going I might go with you", I said knowing I got to go to see these kids show out. "Girl yes, we gon' pop out boo!", Adri said while getting up throwing away her trash and I did the same. We continued small talk until the bell rung. "See you later girl, Want to meet up at the gym later on after school?", Adri said while getting her bag. "Yes bae, you already know, okay love you gotta go!", I said as I walked on to class. "Love you too bitch!", Adri said while twerking in the hallway and blowing a kiss at me. I began to laugh, this crazy girl.
    Walking into my class, I noticed a lot of new faces were here this year. I looked around at everyone while walking to a desk, and I noticed this fine brown skin boy with dreads. "Damn", I thought to myself while trying to focus on finding a desk. I laughed to myself when I noticed that all the desk were taken, except for the one beside him. I walked over beside him trying to avoid his gaze, I quickly sat down. "Good morning class, today is going to be simple and smooth", my teacher said as she began to write her name and date on the board. I began to get out me a sheet of paper and a pencil. "Excuse me?", I heard a voice say as I looked into the fine boy eyes. My heart quickly skipped a beat, "Yes?", I said trying to avoid his eyes. "May I borrow a pen, I really don't like writing with pencil", He said while he licked his lips exposing the gold slugs in his mouth. Girl I swear I almost fainted, "You okay?", he said while touching my hand. I reached in my purse for a pen, "Yes thanks for asking", I said while giving him my pen. "Thanks, whats your name baby girl?", he asked in curiosity. "Zola, but you can call me Zo", I said while writing my name on my paper trying to avoid looking at him. "Oh thats cute, just like you shawty, by the way my name is Von", he said while smirking and looking up at the board. Did this boy really call me cute? "I Like that 'Mr. Von'", I said while taking my focus off of him and back on the teacher. I can tell he was looking at me and smiling, girl he so fine, thats my lil baby now. But for now, imma try to play hard to get.
     The bell began to ring as everyone began to walk to their next class and so did I. "Zola, come here", I heard a familiar voice call me. I turned around and it was my old boyfriend Raheem. I ignored him and kept walking to my next class until he ran up behind me and started grabbing my waist. "Hey bae, I miss you, where you been?", he said as he started kissing on me. "Boy get the fuck back, you know exactly where I been, WORK!", I said pulling him off of me. I began to fix my clothes, "Rah what do you want? I know you don't miss me!", I said getting annoyed. "Bae, yes I do, just give me another chance.", He said while giving me puppy dog eyes. I rolled my eyes at him and kept walking. He followed me all the way to my class, and he grabbed my face and kissed me on my lips. "Call me later okay?", He said while winking his eye at me. I gave that nigga the middle finger, I cant stand him.
     The day began to end, and the last bell rung. It was a successful first day, I began walking out of the building. I saw Adri about to get in her car, I called her. "Hey girl wait up, i'm almost to the car", I said while trying to hurry and get to the car. I hung up the phone and headed towards her car, "so whats the move? the gym or what?", I said waiting for an answer. "Girl lets go get some food, ill meet you over your house and can I spend the night?", Adri said. "Girl you know we don't care, and alright ill be at home", I said while walking toward my car while waving at her. I got in my car and placed my things in the back seat, as I was starting my car, I saw Von. I was debating on whether or not to speak, but before I could decide he looked up at me and walked towards my car. "Hey baby girl, where you going later on?", He asked while looking in my face. I smiled at him, "Me and my best friend going to grab some food tonight, and thats about it", I said answering his question with honesty. "Oh really, well can I get your number? Well if you don't mind", He asked while taking out his phone. I smiled at him and went ahead and gave him my number. "You going to that party?", he asked while saving my number. "Honestly, I don't want too, but i'm going. I need this break this my first whole week off from work, i'm tryna get lit", I said while putting on some music so I can drive off. He continued to say a few things to me and we ended the conversation. I waved him off as I drove off of the school campus.
     I pulled up to my house noticing my dad wasn't home, but Adri was here already waiting in the car. "What took so long?", She asked while we both got out the car and walked towards the house. "Girl go put your things down so we can go and I can spill the tea", I said laughing at her. "Where you tryna eat?", I asked while looking for restaurants online. "Lets go to Applebees, we can get the 2 for 20 thing", she said while spraying on perfume passing me the bottle. I sprayed the perfume on my body, "Oh yeah, we can eat good laugh my ass off. Lets go to one far out though, i'm tryna leave this side of town", I said while grabbing my purse and keys and Adri did the same. We both agreed and we left the house, "On to Applebees we go!", Adri said while making a snapchat video turning up Drake's new album More Life.
Von (POV):
"Nicole, chill the fuck out bruh", I said while trying to stop her from hitting me. This girl been cheating on me for too long and I'm sick of her ugly ass. "Wasn't nobody even cheating on you, just because niggas like me dont mean I want them Vee! I want you baby, why cant you understand?", she said with tears in her eyes. I honestly didn't give two flying fucks, I been tryna leave her anyways. "Okay but why the fuck you been hanging out with the same nigga you told me not to worry about? You been all up on him, taking pictures like y'all a fucking couple", I yelled while showing her pictures of her and the boy. She looked like a fucking duck. She was speechless, thats what her dumbass get, she knew I was gonna find out. "Whats that nigga name Rico?", I asked my cousin while he was rolling up a jay. "I think Raheem, some shit, ion know", he said while licking the blunt and firing it. Nicole wiped her eyes, "You know what bitch nigga? Ion give a fuck no more since you don't wanna believe me. Besides, I heard you been checking out other bitches too!", she said punching me in my face. I promise I don't hit females but i'm bout to beat her ass swear to god. How in the fuck did everyone find out bout Zola, it aint even been a week. "What females?", I yelled at her stupid ass. "You know who the fuck im talking about!", she screamed at me. You know im not even finna argue with this thot no more. I mean it was one point where I really did love her, but now she can kick rocks. I let her do me dirty so many times, I never cheated on this girl, I always remained loyal from the start! "Get the fuck out, bye Nicole. You a thot bruh, you did me dirty. How you hurt me, I was there when your own mother kicked you out. This how you pay me? I bought that shit you got on, but since you wanna cheat, get on! You can keep the clothes, the shoes, the jewelry, all that shit. Just leave me the hell alone bruh", I said giving her $200 and pushing her ass out the door. "Baby no! No, no, no!", she began to cry and fall to the ground. I pulled her all the way outside and slammed the door in her face, im done with that hoe. "I cant stand her ugly ass, she only cute cause of the shit you bought her!", my cousin Rico said. I agreed with him, I made that girl, nobody knew who she was until she started hanging with me. Now she don' let the "popularity" get to her head. I looked up at the camera and saw her leave with that same nigga Raheem. I shook my head and got the jay from Rico. I smoked all the jay, and began to roll another one. "Let me tell about you this girl I saw today, her name was Zola", I said while smiling. Rico started laughing at me because I was really blushing, but I was serious its something about this girl. "She must be bad bro?", Rico said growing interested in my story. "Nah bruh its more to it, I mean yeah she bad and all, but baby is smart and hard working. How about she got a job, she don't even be in the mix a lot. From the looks of it she just stay to her self most of the time. Thats how I like 'em!", I said while smiling and licking the jay. "Yeah bro, but thats how Nicole was until y'all got together", Rico said reminding me. I know Nicole was like that but she never really was quiet, she was a follower and she did anything to be considered "cool". I shook my head at him, "Nah bruh, this girl different forreal. Its this party this weekend and I might ask her to be my date or whatever. Do you think its too early for that?", I asked Rico growing curious. "In my opinion yes, especially for the party. If you want to take her out you should go somewhere fun and somewhere y'all would be by yourselves. You know so it would be no drama and so that you can pick up off her vibes you feel me?", Rico said making since. I don't want to take her any where where there would be drama and negative energy. I want to actually get to know her and have fun at the same time, maybe next week. Me and Rico finished our conversations, my dad began to call, "Yooo pops, whats good?", I asked while inhaling the smoke. "Bring y'all behinds on, we gotta make a move out of the city right quick. Bring some snacks and drinks, we'll be back tonight", he said into the phone, "i'm on my way to come get y'all." I began to get up and put the jay out, "Come on get ready, dad said we gotta hit outside the city and we'll be back tonight", I said to Rico while going to the kitchen getting snacks. "We better get a fat check for this, he know we got school tomorrow", Rico said while grabbing our headphones and chargers. We heard the horn blow and we knew that was our note to come on. Time to go get this money, fast money not the best money, but it get the job done.
Zola (POV):
We ordered our food and began drinking our drinks. "So girl let me tell you about what happened today", I said playing around in my drink. "Okay bitch hurry i'm getting excited", Adri said sitting up in her chair. "So this fine ass boy asked for my number today! His name is Von, and he has to be a new transfer cause I never seen him at the school. Anyways he was so fine, we got 1st period together, and I sit right beside him", I said while sipping my lemonade. "Bittttt, What? For-real? Im so happy for you, cause I did not like Raheem thot ass", Adri said rolling her eyes. "Speaking of Rah girl, he tried to talk to me today too. He kissed me I pushed him off me!", I said with disgust. Adri laughed so hard, everyone started staring at us, "Girl his nasty mouth ass, betted pray you didn't catch nothing." I looked at her and shot a bird and she laughed even harder. I continued to talk until my phone went off. I looked down and saw a number I never seen, "This must be him girl, he just text me", I said smiling. I texted back and waited for him to respond. "Girl I hope he be faithful cause you know I love to fight!", Adri said while putting on a evil smile. I laughed and the waiter came out with our buffalo wings. We began to say grace and dig in our food, "Speaking of baes, when mine coming home? I miss him so much", Adri said while chewing her food. "Girl my daddy said he coming home Thursday", I said while eating. My brother and Adri been at it since forever, if anything i'm tryna get like them. My brother went to jail my junior year for fighting. I know it sound like it wasn't that bad, but my brother fucked up that boy. The boy had pressed charges, and since he started it my brother only got like 7 months. When my brother come back he has to get a job and go to counseling because every since our mom died his anger went straight through the roof. "Girl, when my baby come home you already know imma be caked up", Adri said while smirking. I looked at her with disgust, "nasty asses", I said to her. We both laughed and our dinner came out. This day was very fun and successful, I cant wait to have more days like this but with my full family.
