I skipped down the street. I was about to go and meet my friend James but, when I got to the bus stop he was there with some other boys. In fact they were the popular and rude boys.

I wasn't one to judge so I walked up to James. "Hey James!" I smiled happily.

"What do you want!" I backed up a little. Was he mad at me. "I uh- are you mad at me?" "No I just don't talk to weirdos like you!"

"I don't understand? What do you mea-" "you know what! Just shut up!" I shut my mouth and looked up at him in confusion.

James was usually a nice guy. Why is he acting like this. Did something happen over the summer I didn't know about? Was it something I said?

Of course not. I couldn't have said anything mean to James. He is my best friend, and He did just move, Mabey he's just not used to it.

"What are you staring at creep!" Then he shoved me. I fell bruising my elbow. The old James wouldn't have pushed me to the ground.

I stood back up and stepped a foot away from my so called 'friend'. I stared down a my feet, Listening to them chuckle and talk about sports.

As the bus came around the turn. I pushed what had just happened out of my mind and hopped on the bus, taking a window seat and looked outside.

As James got on he looked around. His eyes laid on the only empty seat. As he sat next to me. I didn't even care to look at him.

When we got to school. James hurried to the school doors pushing another boy back into his seat.

I hurried to the seat were the boy fell and helped him up.

"Sorry about that he hadn't been acting like him self lately." The boy nodded understandingly.

I got out after thanking the driver and apologizing for anything James had done.

As I walked along the sidewalk towards the grand doors. I notices something flutter in front of me.

A snow white butterfly swiftly dance in the air. It's wings shown like light in the crisp autumn air.

I smiled at the sight and took my time walking into the school knowing everything will be ok.
