-Louis' POV-
I looked for any small animals, and was glad to see a bird on the ground.
I tried to copy the motion that Rainbowtail was doing before we split up, and tried to jump on the bird.
Just as I guessed, I missed.
I was no cat expert, and it sure would be helpful if Harry was here.
"You almost got it." Liam said.
I stomped my paw. "How are we supposed to do this if we don't know how? I'm trying to copy Rainbowtail, but it's hard!"
"I'm guessing everything is hard, but everything that gets worse has to get better, right?" Niall meows.
"I guess." I said, "But it's hard. You have to try to know that."
Niall looked around and saw a squirrel.
"Ok, I will try." He said.
He stalked really close to the squirrel and shot his paw out and his paw landed on the squirrel's tail and held it down. Then, he bit it hard, and finished it.
"You just got lucky that it was a squirrel." I said to him.
"Then I'm lucky all the time." He smiled.
"Hmph." Was all I could get out.
"We wouldn't be here if it weren't for us." Liam slowly said, thoughtfully.
"What are you talking about, Liam?" I asked.
"We made Rainbowtail's lamp fall, and broke it. We are in here now." He said.
"We never got to use the swimming pool." Niall pouted, thinking about their swimming pool backyard.
"That's not important right now, we have to pass this test!" I said, looking for more prey.
There was a crow with a broken wing trying to fly to safety.
"This'll be easy." I say.
I easily pounce on the crow and bite it's neck hard.
"There." I say, satisfied.
Liam wanders away.
"Hey, where're you going Liam?" Niall asks.
He doesn't answer. He disappears, so we wait for a few minutes. He comes back with a big rabbit.
"How'd you get that?" I ask in astonishment.
"I just got lucky." He said, copying Niall.
Pff.
"Great job." I hear Lionmane's voice.
Niall and Liam had big fresh kill, and I had a tiny broken crow.
"We can eat our prey now so we can be strong for the fighting part of the test." He said.
Great, I bet I'll be horrible at that too.
Just great.
