Nicole's POV
The feel of his lips on mine brings back familiarity and butterflies in my stomach. Fireworks and electricity work their way through my body. I remember. I remember how we fell in love. I remember the familiar touch of his hands. I remember the nights we spent cuddling and watching movies. But as soon as the good feelings come, the bad one takes over. I remember Daniel's face, the alleyway, him pushing me against the wall, ripping my clothes, everything. On impulse I push Liam away from me and scream, drowning in the memory of that day.
"Get away from me" I scream
I take a few deep breathes and open my eyes to see a frightened Liam cowering in the corner. Realisation hits me hard. I quickly get up from the couch, ignoring the pain in my body, and go over to Liam

In that second I am pulled into a tight hug "oh thank goodness" he breathes out

"I love you so much, I'm so sorry" I say
"I love you too" he says kissing me on my forehead "I knew you'd come back to me"

"Now tell me who did this to you" he says sternly sitting us back on the couch
I stay silent, not wanted to let the memory resurface
"Nicole, please tell me. I wanna know who hurt you" he says
I take a deep breath, "Daniel"
He stands up and starts pacing and muttering to himself, his hands clenched into fists
"Baby calm down" I say soothingly
He looks at me and his eyes soften "I'll be right back" he says kissing me on the cheek and leaves the apartment

"I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!" I hear Louis as he bursts through the door
"You told him?" I say turning to Liam, who I was curled up next to
"I had to" he says
"We're in the living room Lou" I say
He comes storming in but when he sees me he relaxes a little
"I hope you know that I am calling the police on this guy. No one treats my family like that" I say
"As long as you don't get hurt I'm fine with it" I say
"I don't care what you sa -- wait what?"
"I said I'm fine with it. He deserves to rot in hell" I say
"ok" Louis says content with himself
"ok. Now was that all or..." I say trailing off
"yeah" he says
"Good. Now if you don't mind I'd like to spend time with my boyfriend" I smile lovingly into Liam's eyes
"UGH. Fine, just don't start making out until I'm out of the building" he says already starting to stalk out of the apartment.
I smile once Louis has left and Liam pulls me closer to him.
"I missed you" he mumbles into my ear
"I was never really gone. All I needed was a kiss" I say
"Yeah, well let me make sure you never forget again" he says pulling my lips to his
He gently lays me down on the couch, hovering over me, our lips never breaking contact. As he kisses me, I can feel all the love he has for me and in that moment I feel like I am the happiest I have ever been.
I pull away and look up into his eyes, filled with tears about to spill over. I bring my thumbs up and brush away his tears
"Don't cry" I say
"I just -- I love you so much Nicole. I don't ever wanna lose you again" he sighs pressing a kiss to my forehead
