I was almost there. Just a few more steps, and I would reach the top of the building. I glanced over my shoulder to see if anyone noticed I was crying and decided to follow me.
No one.
That was not unusual. I was used to being invisible all my life. I was even used to being abused by my brothers.
What I was not used to, was being betrayed by the only person I ever actually trusted.
When I'm finally at the top, I take a deep breath. Then, I look down at the tiny cars on the road. Again, I take a deep breath, climb on to the ledge and get ready to jump.
"Allison!"And when I turned around, I saw the one person I did not want to see.
