Day 1
It was Redder's second day at the cathedral somewhere in the continent of Ridre that was owned by a certain Count.
He stayed particularly at Blair's cell. As Redder was patiently watching his only child's slow transformation, he clasped his hands because they were shaking and he doesn't want anyone to take notice of it—especially the Devil.
Speaking of, the Lord of darkness, Div Umbra, entered the cell and his cold gaze landed on Redder. "Why don't you do something more productive other than staying here, doing nothing? I don't trust you staring at the boy all the time. Who knows, you might accidentally curse him."
It wasn't a strong command from the dark lord so Redder resisted his urge to go outside the cell and remained sitting firmly on the oak chair. He deliberately ignored Div Umbra and focused on the bed where his son is lying.
Blair's body is slowly turning into some horrendous creature, constantly excreting a very nasty-looking fluid with a foul odor.
"Didn't you hear me?" Div Umbra snapped, annoyed for being ignored. "I said get out!"
His words made Redder froze. Then, Redder suddenly stood up like he was a puppet and someone pulled a string from his back. He turned on his heels and off the cell he goes.
He's just outside when he came back to his senses.
Redder clenched his fist. He's angry deep inside but he couldn't make himself look like it. In the old times, someone thought him different kinds of emotions. How they felt, and how they were expressed.
But Redder later on gave up showing anyone his emotions for he realized it was irrelevant. People would just marvel at how beautiful his face would still look with every emotion it portrays. That's when he decided to wear a mask of impassiveness and still wore it up to this day.
He stood just an inch from the door of the cell, peering inside. Try as he might, he can't take any step further.
The power of Nyx that was under the command of Div Umbra was so strong inside of him. He can let it go but only gradual. He admits Nyx' power somewhat helps him stabilize his frail body. Removing it out of his system at once can be really fatal to him.
He doesn't want to die yet, not until he sees through the end of Blair's transformation.
Div Umbra faced the doorway. He was about to exit the cell, too but had to stop because Redder is blocking the doorway.
Div Umbra doesn't give any verbal command this time, instead, shoved Redder aside and then grabbed him by the arm.
"Let's have some tea... for something to do," said the Devil in his usual tone.
"And you call that productive? I'm not in the mood for tea," said Redder in protest yet he's not resisting Div.
Div Umbra glared at the redhead. "Then, be in a mood for tea."
With Div Umbra's lead, they made their way down to the kitchen. Redder, under Div Umbra's command, boiled the kettle while Div Umbra himself rummaged the cupboards for teabags. He only found a box of Darjeeling and that will do.
"The water's boiling, dimwit!" Shouted Div Umbra at Redder who's only staring at the whistling kettle on the stove.
Before he could strangle the precious neck of the redhead clown, Div Umbra blew in the air and the fire on the stove just died out even if he was few feet away.
"Just—get the cups," he ordered Redder who immediately turned on his back and peered over the cabinet where the teacups were neatly placed. He loved teacups especially those with rare hand drawn patterns.
