I work out
Ugggghhh! What a great way to start the first day of my senior year in high school. My alarm blasting LMFAO at 6:30 in the morning. Great.
"Grace turn that shit down I'm trying to sleep!" shouts my obviously hungover mother.
"Okay," I shout back. I turn off my alarm clock and drag myself out of bed and into the shower.
After a quick shower, I wrap myself in a big, fluffy towel and look in my closet trying to decide what to wear. I decide on ripped skinny jeans and a figure- hugging turquoise blue off the shoulder top. I top it off with a long layered silver chain necklace. Perfect.
I blow dry my hair and it dries in its natural waves. Then, I apply my minimal amount of make-up, just the basic eyeliner, mascara and clear lip-gloss.
Looking at myself the mirror, I decide I look pretty good. I'm about 5' 8" and have a slender yet curvy body. My hair's long and dark brown and reaches to about the middle of my back in natural waves. My eyes are a striking blueish green color. All in all I'm pretty good looking, though I'm not conceited.
I make my way downstairs to see my older brother, James eating cereal.
"Hey James," I say.
"Hey little sis," he replies. "You excited for your fist day of your senior year?" he asks.
"Totally!! I'm soo excited this year is going to be the awesomest!! You excited for you first day of college?"
My brother, James is one year older than my 17 years of age which makes him 18 and is starting at USC (University of Southern California) today which luckily is only a 20 minute drive from where we live.
"Yeah I can't wait for all the parties and to bang all the hot college chicks," he says with a smirk.
I whack him on the chest and mutter "perv" under my breath, even though what my brother said was probably true.
As much as I hate to admit it, my brother was hot. He had dark brown hair, the same color as mine and bright blue eyes. I know he had muscles and had a six-pack from all the times I've seen him shirtless. He was about 6' 1" and he had all girls falling on their knees.
"K well we better head out," I say after seeing the clock said 7:20.
"Yeah let's go," James said.
We head out to the garage after I slip on my worn- out converse. James gets into his silver camaro while I get into my lime green one. I know what your thinking, 'Wow they must be rich' but honestly we're far from it.
You see my dad's an abusive bastard who thinks its nice to use his kids as punching bags and my mom's an achoholic. So where do we get our money from? Our lovely grandparents from both of our parents sides. Yes, they are aware of their children's way of life but they also know they'll never get them to change. So they just started college funds for both of us and bought of each a car of our choice for our 16th birthdays.
As much as I like to think we have it easy, we really don't. Our mother goes out to party every day, and our father goes to work wherever he works, (I've never been interested enough to even find out where he works sad right?) eats dinner, punches the shit out of me and James then goes to bed. I know we don't have the easiest life, but I wouldn't change it for anything.
Well anyways, I start the engine of my car and realize James left already. Damn I wanted to say bye to him :(
Whatevs. I pull out of the garage and heard towards school.
