Chapter Three

“Oh, Elijah Yohan Martinez, don’t be like that. I might die in a heart attack!” Kaela said making a deep breath to make her self calm.

“I didn’t do anything hag.” Yohan said remain standing. He has the same hair color. He’s just younger by five years.

“You didn’t notify me that you’re inside.” Kaela complains.

Yohan ignored him, “Are we going to share a room?” He asked her older sister.

“Of course! Who else do you want to share a room with?” Kaela exclaimed.

“No one. Is this our room?” he asked.

“Hmm, this one seems okay.” She said while looking around and puts their baggage inside the closet.

“It’s a girl’s room.” Yohan said looking at the pink wallpaper.

“It’s okay. I like pink anyways. We’ll stay here for two nights only. After the party, we’ll go home.” Kaela retorted. “You know what? You don’t need me to baby-sit you, you’re big enough. You can handle yourself. So please don’t do anything stupid, okay?”

Yoichi shrugged and then heads out. But before he went out, he speaks, “You should be telling that to yourself. I don’t feel anything good about this creepy mansion. You know my ability, right? I don’t like anything happen to you. Stay close to the others.” After that Yohan went out.

Great! Now he talks like he’s older than me. Kaela thought.

“What do you mean Yohan?” Kaela exclaimed but Yohan’s already out of sight.

That brat’s scaring me, your ability, huh? Let’s see about that. She thought.

Kaela then open the next door of the closet. She saw a small box. But it’s lock. She gets it. She blows the dust making the crafted words in the cover more visible.

Amber Anderson, nice name! Kaela tried to open the box but cannot. She needs the key for the padlock. She searches through the room but no luck of the key.

Kaela is about to return the box in the closet when a small thing caught her eyes in the study table. The key!

I’m positive that there’s nothing in that table when I look at it just a moment ago. She shrugged at the thought and then gets the key. She unlocks the padlock and opens the box.

She found a picture. She gets it and scans it through her eyes. The content of the picture makes Kaela shocked. It’s a picture of a happy couple smiling in front of the camera. The girl had auburn hair like her but its short. Their face has similarities. The boy had a raven hair too like Nathan, almost the same face too and his hair is long and tied in a low pony tail unlike Nathan whose hair is short.

‘What a coincident.’ Kaela thought. She looks at the back of the picture and read the handwritings.

They studied at Ocean Blue too! Kaela thought.

She looks at the box again and found an old diary. She is about to read the diary when she heard Michelle called her downstairs.

“Micah Ella, come here! Let’s start cleaning because we still have to decorate for the party!”

“I’m coming!” Kaela shouted back. She immediately returns the diary in the box. She didn’t notice that the picture fall in the floor. And then returns the box in the closet.
