| 5 | Proving Them Wrong

The week was interesting, between tryouts and school work, tutoring, tutorial for myself. Today was the last day. It really wasn't even tryouts, it was the day we find out who made the team. The whole week Paislee and I bonded. We helped each other out weaknesses because what one of us lacked or struggled with, the other was great at. I was good at ballet and Paislee was good at hip hop, so we worked with each other a lot. Now was the final decision.

"Ladies when I call your name please step forward." Coach Ash says. She starts calling out names. When it was down to 5 girls, me and Paislee included, we got nervous.

"Paislee Freds and Kaelynn Marcos." Coach Ash called our names. Me and Paislee shared a look and stepped forward.

"You two have shown me many things. Both your personalities and work ethnicity are very appealing. Just like everyone else here you have improved yet have more to work on but I see leadership I'm you two. You both have made the team. I also want Kaelyenn to be captain and Paislee you as co-captian. I think both of y'all skills will be needed this season. Thank you ladies." Coach Ash said. Paislee and I screamed and hugged each other. I couldn't believe I'm captain and made the team.

"This is the 2016-2017 dancing Knights dance team," Coach Ash says pointing to us. "now let's start practice. Also we have Saturday practice."

When practice ended, Marcus and Cam were waiting outside for us.

"Congrats." Cameron says give us both hugs.

"Thanks." Paislee and I say at the same time.

"You coming to my party tomorrow night?" Cameron says

"Yeah. I need to find something to wear first." Paislee says.

"Me too." I say

"Let's go to the mall." Paislee says.

"Let me call Papà." I say pulling out my phone as we walk outside. As I do, I see Papà and Benio standing outside. Papà was dressed up. He looked like he was about to either go to a business meeting or leaving one.

"Hola Papà" I say

"Hola Kaelyenn, quienes son?" Papà asks.
(Who are they?)

"Son mis amigos Paislee , Cameron y Marcus." I say.
(They are my friends Paislee, Cameron, and Marcus.)

"De acuerdo, ¿cómo ha ido?" Papà asks.
(okay, how did it go?)

" Hice el equipo!" I say excitedly. (I made the team!)

"Felicitaciones" Papà says clapping

"Paislee y yo hicieron" I say(Paislee and I made it.)

"Feliciataciones Paislee." Papa says

"Gracias" Paislee says.

"Oh Papà, ¿Puedo ir al centro comercial con mis amigos ? " I say putting on a puppy dog look. (Can I go to the mall with my friends?)

" Sí, pero estar en casa a las 8 de la una, también no voy a estar en casa Voy a estar fuera de la ciudad este fin de semana." Papà says.
(Yea but be home by 8pm, also I will be out of town this weekend) Benio hands me a gold card.

"Gracias papà y
por favor tenga cuidado." I say.
(Thank you and please be aware/safe)

"Yo siempre soy, y tú." papà says. (I always am, you too)

"Bueno Papà." I say
He nods and Benio opens the door so Papà could get in.

"Kaelynn Ms.Marcos says to give you this." Benio says handing me a letter. "Don't open it until later."

"Okay, thank you Benio." I say. He then gets in the car. And they leave.

"Wow. You're really fluent in Spanish." Cameron says as we head to my car.

"Yeah thank you. It was sort of Mandatory" I say.

"Okay. Well I've got to get to work." Cameron says.

"Me too. Baby be safe." Marcus says kissing Paislee passionately.

" I will. I promise." Paislee says breathlessly. Cameron and I looked away but I could tell she was swooning. When they finished we all left for out seperate ways.

MARCUS POV

This week I found out some interesting things about Kaelynn. Somethings about her family history. Kaelynn is my real sister. She is my sister who was taken from me. I just didn't know what to do with this information. I didn't know if I should tell her or not. I wanted to but she barely knows me  she might think I'm crazy I also think this might crush her. She wouldn't know how to handle this information. I think she should find out on her own, but how?
