Chapter 7
I sat and watched them as they moved around us, they had blocked themselves from me so I couldn't read their surface thoughts but I could still see their memories, they were just so gory I didn't really want to look at them.
The house was nice, not at all what you expect a group of vampires to own, it was too modern. It was the kind of house you expected to be on cribs. But the vamps didn't seem to be normal. Although saying that are any vampires normal.
It seemed a little weird to me that they were all men, especially since woman can read mind, you would have thought that was better from interrogation. The only reason I could come up for the lack of females was that they were old and probably believe in men's superiority. Well either that or they were a bunch of gay vampires, I hadn't met any but there had to be some, somewhere.
"There are." I smiled and looked to Adrian who was sitting beside me in a chair, tied up just like I was. I however was more comfortable because I had loosened my ropes slightly, Adrian had been knock out so he hadn't even attempted it.
"You're awake! Are you okay?" He looked at me and smiled, which brought attention to us.
"Ah Mr. Del Dia you are awake, splendid." I snorted and looked to Adrian who seemed a little shocked by my out burst
"Who says splendid?" I felt his chuckle in my mind but he kept a straight face knowing the six guys would be watching our every move.
"What right have you to hold us?" I looked from Adrian to the brown hair vampire in a pin stripe suit. My eyebrow rose like I was backing Adrian up.
"Your bond is danger to our society, Mr. Del Dia we have every right to hold you." I pulled a face at him but he was too focused on Adrian. I moved my hands in the ropes trying to free my middle finger but I couldn't move it so the vamp could see I was flipping him off.
"How is she a danger?" I almost laughed at Adrian stupid question but he seemed serious so I kept a straight face or as straight a face as I could manage, I think I might have had a lip quirk.
"Roisin here is one of the most powerful vampires in the world. She is the first vampire ever to have two gifts and because of that there is no one to teach her how to control her gift. If she had been born vampire it may have been alright she would have learned to control her skills through both her parents, it would have been like a child being bi lingual. But now she is too old to fully learn how to control her self."
"So your pretty much saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks." The guy turned to me and for a second I actually thought he smiled but then he was back to being a grump. "Because that's pretty stupid thing for a vamp to say. You are what?" He didn't say anything so I searched his mind. " Nine hundred and twenty six?" I was a little stunned for a moment. "Okay that's old, anyway you must have to learn to change learn to control yourself in different situation. Hell look at this house you have learn to adapt pretty well. So why can't I?"
"We are not the same, the situation is not the same. You cannot expect to simply adapt. If you were to loose control, it could cause massive destruction. You could kill many vampires and mortals. You could out us to the world."
"Mate the world already knows about you. In fact the world is obsessed with vampires. I would not out you simply prove people right. And I would never kill anyone." He shook his head and moved closer.
"But you already have, you killed Jackson's men, many of them." I knew my face went pale because I knew he was right. I did kill them.
"I had reason, they were going to kill me they killed innocent people, hurt my bond. You can not tell me you would not do the same if you were in my shoes." He thought about it for a second but then shook his head and backed away.
