Kevin was the easily attached kind of person. We have all met at least one person like that. You know, like when you befriend them and then they immediately assume you are their best friend forever. He couldn’t really help it; he just never really had a vast circle of friends in his school days. He learned to keep his friends close. Really close. Yet, it hasn’t really held him back drastically. Who really needs a large group of friends anyway when you can have one or two really close ones?
Aleks, on the other hand, was pretty popular in school. Of course, Kevin and Aleks didn’t attend the same school, but through stories, Kevin has counted him having probably 7 girlfriends and dozens of friends.
Somehow, Kevin and Aleks really seemed to connect though. They’re first interaction was through Youtube. Aleks did a little promoting for Kevin when he was starting out, and they became really good friends. Opposites attract, right? Yes. Well … in this case at least.
But within every friendship, there are always secrets they hold from each other. It’s natural. Some feelings and thoughts are better unsaid. Kevin has deep feelings. Feelings that he would never dare say to Aleks. Feelings that make him blush occasionally when somebody brings up the ImmortalAnex tag, feelings that make him feel happy at the simple sound of the name Aleksandr.
In fact, Kevin was actually on his way to Aleks’ house when he got at text from him.
You’re bringing the pizza right dude?
He smiled slightly, yes, I got it
Driving into Aleks’ and Sly’s apartment, he picks up the large pizza box in the backseat, it was still warm, and he parked, opened up the door and slammed it shut with his foot. This would be the second time seeing both Eddie and Aleks in person, which is an odd thought, because he feels talks to Aleks almost every day.
Knocking on the door, Kevin couldn’t help but get a little nervous. Within seconds the door clicked and swung open. Kevin was greeted by Aleks’ and his messily perfect hair, his smoothly shaven face and his pale pink skin.
“Hey,” Kevin sputtered out.
“Hey dude”
Kevin stepped in and took his shoes off.
“We’re just playing some GTA5, over here”
Aleks lead him up the stairs and into the living room. Two couches were placed in front of the TV.
Eddie took up one full couch because he had Puppy Chef beside him. That left one couch for him and Aleks.
“Hey Kevin! Long time no see, oh my gosh you brought pizza.”
“Yes I come bearing riches” Kevin joked and handed over the pizza.
“Aww dude, how did you know I like mushrooms on it?”
Kevin proceeded to sit down beside Aleks.
“I told him” Aleks answered. “Here,” he told me, handing me a controller.
I took it, taking control of the virtual man inside the video game. Within seconds, I stole a car and began speeding towards the bridge.
“Do a dive!” Eddie said excitedly.
I crash into the railing of the bride and flip my car, but I don’t manage to dive off. We all laugh our asses off.
“Fuck dude,” I say, laughing.
The rest of the night was really fun. I’m glad I came to visit them in Colorado, although I’ll only be staying for a week, I can already tell this will be a really fun time.
Sly finishes the last of the large pizza, but not before letting out some deadly gas.
“Aww dude!” Aleks whines, pulling up the bottom of his t shirt and covering his nose with it.
I peeked a view of Aleks’ newly exposed stomach. It was nearly pale white, the waist of his boxers were also exposed. I glanced away before anyone noticed.
My mood was ruined when I took a really big whiff of Sly’s gas. It was really bad. I coughed into my arm.
“Oh come on guys, stop being such pussies, it isn’t that bad.” Eddie laughed.
“No, it’s bad,” I exclaimed and we laughed.
Aleks yawned a bit.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I’m tired.” He said, “Kevin you’re sleeping on the couch if that’s okay …”
“Oh yeah that’s fine, thanks”
Eddie stood up, so did Puppy Chef and they both bounded to his room.
“Goodnight Kevin,” He called before closing his door.
Aleks handed me a pillow.
“Thanks Aleks, it’s nice being here,” I said looking away. I gently placed the pillow on the head of the couch.
“Yeah it’s nice to see you again Kevin,”
We stood in subtle silence. Both fighting to avoid eye contact.
Aleks broke the empty air, “Alright well, goodnight.”
“Yeah, g’night.”
Kevin sat on the couch and turned the lights off. This will be an interesting week.
