Draco's POV:

Draco Malfoy still had a smile on his face as he walked up the stairs to his flat. He had a fantastic time at dinner with his good friends Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson.

The two Slytherins had been dating for 2 years now. He bumped into them after team practice with the Cannons, his Quidditch team. He ate dinner with them to catch up. He left a message to his girlfriend Astoria Greengrass that he would eat dinner with his two old friends and not wait for him and just eat dinner. He could imagine Astoria's face as she heard his voice through the answering machine connected to the telephone.

Astoria initially despised the muggle device, but she later learned to get used to it in their home and saw its use and convenience in everyday life.

It's all thanks to the defeat of the Dark Lord. Prejudices died slowly with him. Even Blaise and Pansy use cellular phones now, and he heard the Weasleys discover the muggle device called the computer. Courtesy of Hermione Granger and Harry Potter, no doubt.

He wondered how Hermione was doing right now with her life. He somehow knows it would be great, with the amount of brain the woman has. The last time he heard anything about her was when she and Ronald Weasley broke up. People from the press had a field day on that news. It annoyed him.

He extended his sympathy by sending a letter of encouragement, telling her to never give up on life and love. However, he sent it without Astoria knowing, as he knew she'd take it the wrong way as she did back in their last year at Hogwarts.

Draco grew closer to Hermione during their last year at school, as they shared a standard room as Head Boy and Head Girl. They became good friends. He sincerely apologised for calling her 'mud blood' and was forgiven.

He remembered Astoria's irritation with Hermione, not understanding his friendship with the muggle-born witch. So after graduation, he chose not to get in touch with his good friend to not get on his girlfriend's nasty side and live peacefully.

He shook his head to push the thoughts away as he stood before his flat's door and reached for the house key inside his pocket. Draco walked home muggle style, wanting time to ponder what his friends told him over dinner. First, they told him they were wary of Astoria, saying she seemed to drag him down instead of lifting his spirits.

Draco and Astoria had been together for over 4 years now. He even took the relationship up to the next level by asking her to live with him in his flat, which caused a bit of a scandal and something both their parents disapproved of. Their relationship may not be perfect, but they have been good together. They work well with each other. That was enough for him.

Lights were on as he entered his flat. Every muggle device, like the television, was off, except for the refrigerator. The house was too quiet, and it suddenly didn't feel right. Usually, Astoria waits for him in the living room, reading a book or sitting on the sofa. Sometimes, she slept inside their room, and the door would always open. Now the door is closed.

His footsteps got quicker, and he turned the doorknob to find it locked. Why would Astoria lock the door?

Getting more nervous by the minute, he took his wand from one of his pockets and cast Alohomora silently.

The silence greeted him. Did Astoria use the silencing charm? Of course, what he saw horrified and infuriated him that hearing a sound would have ticked him off and murdered the two people having sex on top of the bed in a heartbeat.

Stepping forward, their cries of pleasure died as the two felt his presence on the edge of the bed. They attempted to cover themselves but never got around to doing it as he grabbed the unknown man and punched the living daylights out of the bloody bastard.
