Torn Apart - Maya Hart [Lucaya]

Chapter 1

June 5 2016
It was a regular morning for Maya Penelope Hart. Shower, Change, Riley's house, Breakfast, School. But now, she's no longer going to John Quincy Adams middle school. She's going to Abigail Adams High School with her friends, and ofcourse Riley's dad, Cory Matthews. The group was now in junior year of high school.

The triangle was resolved. Lucas went with Riley, and Maya went with Josh. Zay broke up with Vanessa, and Farkle was with Smackle

As for Maya Hart, her life changed. Shawn was now her dad, and everything worked out pretty well. Hope was not really for suckers, she thought.

"Josh!" She squealed with joy, seeing her boyfriend holding a cup of Hot chocolate and a bag of cookies on both his hands

She threw herself at him and gave him a big hug. "Well, my little ferret is in a good mood today!" He smirked and gave her a peck on her glossy lips

"Would you two quit rubbing your relationships infront of us? It's disturbing" A ticked off Zay said in disgust "Get your PDA somewhere else"

"Someone's hot cheetos is a little stale today eh?"

The bell rang and everyone went to their perspective classes.

"Hey, My Mom told me to invite you again today." Lucas said with a cute grin on his face

"I'll be there. It's barbecue Wednesday right?" Maya said, with a big,genuine smile that everyone, especially Lucas, loves "Yep!"

Lucas' mother, Lily, likes Maya very much ever since their muffin project they had to do together in 7th grade.She thinks that she's hilarious and finds her really cute

"HAHURRR" was the voice lucas heard when he opened the door of his comfy house

"You okay now?" He let out a small chuckle "Sure, Huckleberry!"

"What's this?" Lily said walking to the door "Oh! You must be Maya Hart!"  The petite brunette woman with long hair, sharp features and seducing green eyes greeted.

"Hello Mrs. Friar! Nice to meet you" Maya said, putting her hand out to shake. " I got these cookies for you, from Topanga's because I would make you cookies but I don't know how to bake them yet!"

"You're so cute!" Lily said, pinching her cheeks. Maya took a quick glance at Lucas and saw his jaw dropped. He saw Maya was more polite than ever. With Mr Matthews she would call him Matthews and be all sarcastic like she is with the rest of her friends

After Lily went back to the kitchen, Maya went with Lucas to his room. "So huckleberry, what's the recipe your good ol' momma friar uses to make cupcakes?"

"I thought we could make sugary cupcakes instead of my mom's highly healthy ones!" Lucas whined

Where are you?
Maya saw the text on her phone and was eager to reply it as fast as possible

I'm on my way to the parking lot.
She answered

"That took you like 5 minutes!" Lucas said, opening the door on his truck to let the blondie get in

"Hey! I went to the cafeteria to get a brownie!" Maya said, while munching her brownie. "And not everyone's blessed with long legs like yours!"

What's weird? Is that it's Riley who's dating Lucas, not Maya. Yet they have a much more special bond than Riley and Lucas has. They were voted for 'best couple' in middle school, even though riley and lucas have this unofficial thing going on

It's been a year ever since Riley was with Lucas. But since the start, it was Maya who Lucas could have deep conversations with at 3 a.m. when he's feeling vulnerable.

"Ranger Rick. Why doesn't your Mom like Riley?"

That's another thing. It's not because she's dating Lucas but there was something Lily didn't like about her even though she's a complete ball of sunshines and rainbows. And Maya, well, she's not.

"I don't know, she just prefers you better," he paused. And there was awkwardness in the atmosphere until Lucas choked out silently "Just like what I feel."

"What?" She said, raising an eyebrow

"What? Uh nothing" he stuttered, plastering a fake smile

Maya noticed something fishy, but she just shrugged it off and looked out the window again

And from that moment on, Lucas Friar knew, one day, Maya Hart would finally knew what he meant when he said those words he shouldn't have, But hey, could he change what he was feeling?

He knows, that he loves Maya, and likes Riley. There's a difference. But he was too late, and he should've fought for what he knew he felt, instead of letting the girls make the decision for him. Now, he was stuck with the situation and we all know he can't go back
