Chapter 13

*5 Days Later*

I smiled as I sat at the dinner table, surrounded by all of my family. It was tough to tell them, tell them what I was and that I was alive. Well sort of alive. But Stars was there to support me all the way through it. Everyone filled their plates up with food that was located in the middle of the table, like a buffet. I even lifted some food and placed it on mine, which shocked everyone since of what I am. But I just smiled and lifted up my fork and ate away. I missed this. Being with my family, I'm glad that I got the courage to see them again. I held Stars hand under the table.

Me: "thank you"

I leaned over and whispered into her ear.

Me: "I owe you"

Stars: "damn right you do!"

I squeezed her hand and chuckled. Something made my vampire senses kick in. I took a deep breathe in and smelt the air. I turned towards the backyard that and behind me and breathed in again. I could smell something. Something familiar.

Eric: "wasn't me this time Bruno."

He laughed making everyone look at me. Stars squeezed my hand, making me look at her. She nodded her head towards the table. I looked around and saw everyone looking at me. I smile and stood up.

Me: "excuse me."

I stood up and left the table. I walked towards the glass and opened it. I walked outside and looked around. The smell is getting stronger. Blood. That's when I realised that I haven't feed in a while. I felt a hand on my shoulder that made me jump. I turned around and hissed as my fangs clicked in. My eyes widened as I saw Stars standing there. I clicked my fangs in and gave her a hug, whispering 'sorry' into her ear. As soon as my head was by her neck my fangs clicked in again. I have to get out of here. Now.

Stars: "you haven't fed?"

I pulled away and stepped some steps away from her.

Me: "no. That's why I need to go. I'll be back in a few minutes"

Stars: "alright. I'll wait here."

I quickly kissed her cheek and vamped away.

*Stars P.O.V*

I sat down on the bench that was located on the far side on the garden and waited. It was dark outside and grasshoppers echoed through the night sky.

I looked up at the full moon that was in the middle of the sky. Wow. It must be late. Or really early. I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned around and saw the fence that surrounded the backyard. Must of been a badger or something.

I turned halfway around when I saw a silhouette jump from the other side into the garden, landing right in front of me. It made me jump and my knees came up towards me chest. I stood up, about to run until it stood up. I recognised who it was.

Where is Bruno? He can't be far, right? He's probably on his way back. I screamed as his hand grabbed onto my arm. Where are you, Bruno?
