I tucked off the end of the red yarn I had been using to wrap the yarn figure I had been working on. Finally finished, I set Yarni down on my desk and yawned, my arms stretched out as if I was praising some god. I sat back in my desk chair, and admired my work. The yarn was wrapped in sloppy but neat rows around the abdomen of the figure, and the head was a gentle sloping crescent shape, just the way I was in the picture I had pulled up on my phone. It was undoubtedly the cutest thing I had ever seen in my life, possibly even cuter than that puppy my aunt got for me for my birthday without my parents permission, so we didn't have the puppy anymore. I felt a genuine love and attachment towards the yarn cat that I had created. Instead of cutting off the yarn that was still attached to the spool of yarn, I left it attached. I knew I would have to cut it at sometime, but for the time being, I would let it be.
"Dinner!" Called my Mom from downstairs, and the thundering footsteps of my stampeding siblings followed immediately after. I have three siblings, one older brother, Jasper, one younger brother, Alex, and one older sister, Julia. Jasper, who was the oldest at 17 years of age, was bossy, however, spent most of his time up in his room. Alex, the youngest at 5 years of age, was probably the most annoying, he always wants you to play him, and leaves his toys all over, I have a sneaking suspicion that he likes to watch people grimace in pain as they step in a Lego. Julia is second to oldest at 15 years of age, with brown hair that's a little bit longer than shoulder length, and kind brown eyes, she was the friend that had always been there for me, and always stood up for me. I stopped admiring my creation, and jolted up from my desk. If I didn't get there soon, the only thing I would receive would be a talking to, and no dinner. I rushed down the stairs, my feet making a clunking noise as they pounded on every step. The noise echoed throughout the house, alerting everyone to my presence. I took the stairs three at a time, and almost tripped on the last step. Luckily, I caught myself before I feel flat on my face. The only thing on my mind was what was for dinner, not the Yarni I had made.
