End of Paradise

At last people I have a couple of chapters to add...I know it's been a while since I posted new chapters, but I think you will enjoy these two chapters.

Chapter 27 End of Paradise

My assumption was correct; Kevin told me last night that we would be leaving today going back to Atlanta.  We packed our bags preparing to leave going back home.  I was definitely disappointed, but I didn’t want to act like a two year old that couldn’t have their way.

After I finished packing I sat on the bed and drifted off into another place and time.  Kevin finished his packing in between phone calls and I watched him move around gathering his hang up and duffle bag.

He started zipping his bag when he stopped and went into the bathroom to pick up his shaving kit put it in his duffle bag when zipped it.

“Are you ready to go babe?”

I looked up at him and gave him a small smile before standing up and grabbing my bag.  I stopped and wearily looked around the room as if trying to keep this vacation as a reminder of a trip that was long overdue.  After standing close to the door of the suite Kevin grabbed my hand and led me out to the hall to get on the elevator.  I couldn’t stop the one tear that ran down my cheek knowing we were heading back home and back to the old way things were before our trip.

Now I’m not so sure I should say anything to Shaun about ending things or wait and see if Kevin falls back into his old routine and me be a second thought once again.  I truly want us to continue what we had here when we get back home, but something is telling me that it’s not going to happen.
