When the young man gain back his consciousness, the first thing that he feel is heavy, his body are awfully heavy. It took nearly all of his strength when he tries to move his hand to touch his bandaged eyes.

Everything is dark, all he could do is wandering where is he, and what's happening? He could not open his right eyes much to his dismay. The excruciating pain his head doesn't help at all.

"Oh thank god, you're awake now, do you need water?" The voice of a Spanish accented woman is the first thing that greets him.

It confused him at first but nonetheless, he slowly nods. His throat feels dry and he can't mutter a word out. He silently thanked whoever that helps him to drink the water.

"Are you alright sweetheart, want me to call for the doctor?" he wants to shook his head but a sudden searing pain shot inside his head that he immediately clutches his hand on it, wincing in pain. He hears that person panicking followed by a few clatters before another voice of a matured man greet him.

"Are you alright? My name is Doctor Richard, Can you talk?" The doctor asks him. "Y-yeah" he replies with a croaky voice. "You're now in Hospital. I have a few questions, do you think you can answer me?" the younger one nods his head slowly.

"Do you remember your name?" the bespectacled doctor starts. "Gi-Gilbert Frederick," he replies. He can't see anything but he was sure that he heard some scribbling of a pen on a paper. "Alright, I'm sorry to ask this but do you remember what happened to you?" his word immediately reminds the young ashen blonde haired man about his crash.

He starts to panic. Inside his mind, he saw a big flame engulfing his red VW Tiguan, exploding sound, all of it is coming back to him. "My parent! My parent was in the car! Are they save? Where are they? I want to see them!" he tosses and trashes around.

A few hands grab him and try to calm his nerve.

" I need you to please calm down first." The doctor said. Gilbert took a calming breath for a few time. When Richard sees that he has calmed down he continued. With a silent strained voice, he said

"I'm terribly sorry, but both of your parents can't make it through," that word is like a stab through his heart. He sits there motionless.

"No...no... my mom, dad...no you must be joking right? Please tell me this is a joke," his voice choking with sadness.

"I'm sorry, but this is not a joke, as soon as you got out from the car, fire from a leaked oil burn the car, we can't save them. I give you my condolence," he said.

"No! Mom...Dad...no!" he weeps to himself. He have lost them. The most precious persons in his life, what will he do without them.

"I'm sorry Doctor Richard, but could you please leave us alone, give him some time," again that Spanish woman interrupts.

"If that so, then, I'll take my leave now. I'll come again later to explain your condition," he pats Gilbert's shoulder gently. He hears shuffling before he guessed that the doctor now is gone. He can feel a warm gentle hand slowly grip on his hand in supporting way.

"I'm sure your parents are happy there" the woman speaks up. Despite his shocked condition, Gilbert asked back. "Who are you, is he telling me the truth?" it seems like he still could not accept the fact. "I'm Mrs Marie Dassler, you might not know me, but I'm sure you know my daughter, Ein Dassler. And to answer your question... it is true..." her voice is gentle and full of concern. Ein Dassler, Gilbert remember her well, after all, she was the one who saved him.

"I can't believe this. We were happy, celebrating my birthday in the morning. It was supposed to be a day full of joy, laughter. It was not supposed to be like this..."

Mrs Dassler, pats his back, trying to calm his emotional state. But she knows better to let this young man convey all of his feelings. "It's all my fault. If only I didn't force them to follow me driving, if only I'm not driving the car, if only..." he cries, although the tears only come from his left eye and drench the bandage.

It is painful to lose his parent, painful when all the memories come crashing down on him.

"Do not blame yourself, sweetheart, everything that happens have their own silver line behind it. God won't test a person if he or she doesn't have the strength to go through it. I'm sure He choose you because you're strong enough to handle it," he receives a warm motherly hug from her.

It was comforting but at the same time, it reminds him of his mother's warm. He continued crying in her arm. No matter how much he tried to resist the truth, it still the truth and truth always hurt.

"I already did the funeral for both of your parents, I'm sorry if I didn't ask for your permission. But I think it not very good to delay it," she said while looking at the young man. "Thank you Mrs Dassler, I owe you my life," he replies. Right now he wishes that he could see the older woman face.

"That was my daughter, he saved you not me," she chuckled a bit.

"Now that you mentioned her, where's she? I need to thank her," the emo-girl face flash on his mind. "She had class, she'll be here soon with my husband, "As soon as she said that, the door creaks open and entered the said girl with his tall father.

"Oh, there they are, Gilbert was asking for you just now?" she tilts her head, and nonchalantly pull a chair for her and her father.

"She's here?" Gilbert asks.

"Hmm...what do you want?" she sits down on the chair while playing with the phone in her hand. "Ein, manners!" Mrs Dassler scold her a bit.

"Its okay Mrs Dassler. Ein thanks for saving me, I owe you my life," he sincerely thanked her.

"Nope, you owed me my phone," she retorts, smirking. Gilbert can't answer back, he immediately shut up.

"You- ugh come here with me, excuse me Gilbert," Mrs Dassler snap and drags her out from the room leaving Gilbert alone with her husband. "Sorry, for Ein rudeness, she's a spoiled girl you know?" Mr Eduard starts. "She has gone through lots of problems, you can't blame her for her attitude," Gilbert is confused.

"Well...I know she's different inside," Gilbert smile slowly. He had a chat with Eduard for a few minutes before Mrs Dassler come back with Ein behind her. She refused to say sorry until they finally ask permission to go home.
